Coast Kilmore Quay in Kilmore quay

We went to Saltee Coast Hotel retsurant for food only so can't comment on accommodation. But the hotel seems very well maintained. It is slightly away from overcrowded Kilmore Quay, which was exactly what we were looking for. We went there bit late for lunch after exploring saltee island. We were welcomed warmly and served with really tasty fish n chips. I have to say this was a really tasty fish n chips I had in long time. Highly recommend this place.

Difficult! Saltees is a hotel/motel with a restaurant. The food is delicious and of good quality, the service is good, and the staff is friendly. But: The restaurant atmosphere is unworthy of a high-class hotel. The seating seems cheap, the ambiance is uninspiring, and the bar is a permanent fixture—including drunk and rowdy guests. Furthermore, there's a pool table right next to the restaurant tables, within easy reach of the cues. It's a real shame.

So stayed in the saltees hotel last weekend .Motel style bedroom.perfect for our needs and price was good. Tea/coffee avail. Hair dryer. Shampoo etc. Large towels .loved our stay start to finish. Staff are so nice from receptionist to waiting/bar staff.met the chef and we were delighted.food was excellent .breakfast cooked fresh. pots of tea and toast delish.had full dinner one of the nights fresh fish was so good.a lovely Australian wine with that all so good.well done to all .we will be back.
