The coffee is really good, and you can tell the staff know how to make proper coffee for people who appreciate it ,no need for syrups or anything extra. Just really good-quality coffee, lovely friendly staff, and a cosy atmosphere. The perfect place to hide from the rain with a good cup of coffee!

The matcha was good, but not outstanding. The only milk alternative was oat milk, which cost an extra 50 cents. Coconut or almond milk would be great alternatives. The service was friendly, and there was seating both indoors and outdoors.

update Dec 2024. Disappointed with the soup today. Eur 4.50 and it was very watered down.
Expensive. They have a lovely goats cheese ciabatta on their menu which is very nice. They should sell crisps. Soup is not worth buying.. Lovely staff.
What lovely people work here! Brilliant coffee, cool environment (in every sense - especially welcome in heat waves), relaxed vibe, but most of all, such welcoming, friendly and helpful baristas. Highly recommended.
UPDATE: I was in the South Anne Street branch when I posted this - I'm not sure how it managed to get posted to this branch instead. I'm leaving it unchanged, though, as I know it's true of here too. And of Hatch St, to be fair. Such a hard thing to do, keeping everything consistently a high standard once somewhere expands, but Coffee Angel have certainly cracked it. Can'trecommend highly enough!

Sandwiches and toasts were great, we enjoyed them in the nice and quiet seating area in the back. Personally I didn't like the taste of their brewed batch, I will try another Coffee angel to find out if their beans are not for me.
