02/08/2025: Had a lovely meal at No 19 Italian Restaurant in Newbridge. The food was very good — I had the Straccetti di Manzo and Pollo Milano, while my wife ordered the Arancini di Riso and Risotto con Pancetta. Everything was fresh, well-seasoned, and nicely presented. Drinks were simple — a Pornstar Martini and a few Cokes — and service was quick and professional. The staff were friendly and attentive, and while our waiter was great, it would’ve been a nice touch if the maître d’ had shown us to our table and talked us through the specials rather than just pointing us over. Not a big deal, but something small that could enhance the experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming — modern with rustic charm, and spotlessly clean. It was busy enough to feel lively but not overly packed. Prices were affordable for the quality of food and service. One suggestion (especially for an Italian restaurant): it would be lovely to see a complimentary bread basket on the table. In Italy, the first basket is often free and it’s a great way to enjoy the sauces and complete the experience. Overall, a solid choice for a casual yet quality Italian meal. I’d recommend it, though personally I tend to cook a lot of Italian at home — so I’m pickier than most. Still, well worth a visit if you’re in the area.
