Connemara Greenway Café in Oughterard

My teenage daughters and I had one of the best meals in a long time for lunch. Their hake mornay was melt in the mouth. Garlic cheese bread according to a fussy teenager was " the best she ever tasted". We were welcomed by a lovely hospitable man who was genuinely interested in welcoming us. Service was excellent and pleasant. I hope to return here sometime soon again.

Everything was absolutely perfect. The restaurant owner was very friendly and spoke French. You can feel the attention to detail and perfection in every dish. It was one of the best restaurants of our stay. We highly recommend it.

We loved this charming cafe in the heart of town! It was the perfect place to stop for lunch on our way from Dublin to Clifden. Very intimate, owner so friendly and very Knowledgeable! The seafood chowder amazing!!!!

We dropped in by chance, hungry on the road. We didn't regret it. They found a table for two for us and fed us well. We don't rule out that we'll visit again on our next trip. Keep your level and we'll definitely meet again.

Don't miss this restaurant in Oughterard. The cuisine is very fine. The plates are generous. The owner is very friendly and it's a pleasure to chat with him in English or French. In short, a beautiful place.

Very nice little spot right in the centre of the village. Nice atmosphere, very welcoming staff and really great food at a good price.

We are so lucky to have a restaurant like this in our town, had dinner here last weekend and it was perfect. Top quality food, effort put into every course and staff are lovely. Highly recommend

We read the reviews and thought it sounded good. So glad we booked dinner here- it was everything and more we’d read! It is a small enough space so would recommend booking during touristy season, but for a small space, it has a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The staff, led by Jonnie was super friendly and knowledgeable. Jonnie was the perfect host-you can tell he is passionate about food and chatted amiably with the various guests. His wife is the chef in the restaurant and creator of a wonderfully diverse menu. My husband had mussels and a hake with chorizo for main, while I had my eye on the desert so opted for 2 starters, although the portions were very generous for both starters so barely had room for the excellent brownie. I picked the tasty chowder and a really yummy warm goats cheese salad. Will be back for sure! I had a glass of wine and my husband had apple pie. Dinner came to €80-we had both expected it to be higher as the quality was so fresh and tasty and portions were decent, so we were very happy with that experience.

Excellent petit restaurant, accueil et service charmant, des plats simples avec une touche de créativité, préparés sur place avec des produits locaux… et le tout à des prix très doux . À essayer sans hésiter !
