Cookhouse Galway in An cheathrú rua

Long day walking the Cliffs of Moher and we were looking for someplace to eat and rest our feet. Gatto Rosso let us do both. I have an extreme dairy allergy so Italian restaurants are always a challenge. Add to that our server was very new and I ordered a no cheese pizza. Not gonna lie, I was worried. I shouldn't have been. Either the manager or the owner came out and confirmed that I wanted a no cheese pizza and assured me it would be free of any dairy. What I got was one of the best pizzas I have ever had in my life. I ate the whole darn thing because it was so good. SO got pasta and loved it. Oh and the beer was excellent. We sat outside in the beautiful weather and people watched. When we are back in Galway not in a heat wave I will gladly sit inside. Great food, great location and exceptional service. Thank you!

We had dinner at this fabulous pizzeria in August!! We were initially skeptical about eating pizza in Ireland, but we were pleasantly surprised. The pizza was fabulous, made by a brilliant pizza chef from Puglia: Giuseppe! It was every bit as good as the pizza made in Italy! Impeccable and very courteous service! Note: The bathroom door has a special feature worth discovering!

Delicious pizza here! Hubby and I ordered the garlic bread, side salads and shared the sausage pizza. Pizza dough was pizza oven thin, tomato sauce was tasty and the sausage was amazing. Although restaurant was full, service was attentive and thorough. A great restaurant choice.

Spinach ricotta cannolleni and pepperoni Pizza. 🍕 Pizza- 3.5/5 Pasta- 3/5 (good have been better if served in small pieces) Will I go again- I guess no, just a one visit resto for me🙆🏻‍♀️

Tried Crab ravioli and chicken Cajun pizza. It was delicious!

Food was great and staff was welcoming!

The pizzas were delicious and the service was excellent, with lovely décor featuring cat references everywhere!

Although I've had better meals at other Italian restaurants, it's not bad; the dishes are very generous. Quick service and very attentive staff. Pleasant place.
