Cooney's Hotel in Ballymahon

27/09/2025: Recently stayed in Skelly's for 2 nights with our French Bulldog. We were made feel very welcome by Pat, Séamas and the wonderful staff, nothing was a problem and they couldn't do enough for us. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. As dog owners Skellys was ideal for us they have dog friendly rooms and there are lovely walks nearby on the river and on the canal. We were able to have the dog with us in the pub at all times and everybody was very friendly. We had a meal there on both nights, I had stir fried prawns on the first night and a steak sandwich on the second, both were delicious and they have a lovely wine menu to choose from. We also had breakfast and lunch which were very tasty. Big thank you to Pat, Seámas, and all the family and staff we will definitely be back 🐾🐾❤️

07/09/2025: What a great place. Pat , Seamus and all the staff were very friendly, welcoming and attentive during our two night very recent stay. The food was fabulous in quantity and quality and very reasonably priced. The bar generated a friendly and very warm atmosphere, and if you are in the area, it is a must visit place. We look forward to returning in the future. The rooms are very clean and tidy, and yes, they were undergoing a refurbishment during our stay, but that didn't stop us from having a great time.
