Went to go shopping at Lidl and saw Cornrue Bakery at the other end. Went there on Thursday and had one of their fresh, delicious, delicious cinnamon rolls with a cup of coffee. Then treated ourselves too, to one of their sourdough boulle breads. Excellent, excellent, excellent place to get amazing breads, pastries and coffee.

A genuine bakery right here in Westport! Hidden away behind residential buildings but still right in the heart of town. AND, with sourdough cookies!! And freshly baked treats! This is magic little place that would be right at home in Paris. The only criticism is that they give planet unfriendly single-use cups by default. They do have ceramic cups, but they're not on display and so you have to make a special request to get one.

The Hidden Gem of all Hidden Gems. Treat yourself to any of their amazing hand made cakes, freshly baked loaves or an expertly made coffee. Lovely, relaxing bakery / cafe and really helpful, cheerful staff. An absolute 'must visit' place when you are in, near Westport. Absolutely love this place and looking forward to returning very, very soon. 👍

An Port Mór

21/10/2024: I hope Stephan reads this. Primarily a restaurant must be about the food, everything else is secondary, you can put up with a lot if the food is top notch. But.... not only is the food first class,(I had venison) everything else was too. It's not big,it's got character as has Stephan and the lady that met us at the front(forgive me for not remembering your name) . The only problem is....it's so good ,many know it it's not huge ,so you must reserve a table. Granted we went on spec and they very kindly fitted us in . As the French might say "un repas exqui". Bon soir a tous.
11/10/2024: Food was excellent and service was very friendly and efficient in this hidden away little restaurant in Westport. At €155.00 for two, having the set menu with two glasses of wine and a pot of tea, it's expensive but it's not fine dining. Little things like paper serviettes instead of cloth napkins and a chipped teapot mean that although a pleasant restaurant it's certainly not a five star experience overall.

13/11/2024: A cery quaint and cosy bar/restaurant set in a beautiful location, just a short distance from Westport Town. Really good food. The fish and chips were delicious, and the Mussels devine. Great service by friendly, helpful, and happy staff. A real treasure of a place and a must on your list if you're visiting Westport.
13/11/2024: Stopped off for a snack here while out walking along the Clew Bay coast. Fabulous chowder. The new black pudding starter was great also. (I sneak in here on my evening "stroll" also, for a chat and a pint,,,, shhhh😅🤫)
