The best restaurants in Westport

05/08/2026: Delicious pizzas, nice selection of craft beers, good music and friendly staff. Was really busy but got a table after a short wait. Very warm inside due to pizza over but worth it. We will be back for sure! Only negative is the light sensor in the women’s toilet is way to brief and you are in the dark and need to flail around on the toilet to get the light in again 😅

16/07/2026: We visited The Tavern Bar & Restaurant with our family during our trip to Westport, and it was one of the highlights of our visit. The food was absolutely outstanding — every dish we ordered was fresh, delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. It was truly some of the best food we have had in a long time. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, and they made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere was warm, relaxing, and perfect for enjoying a meal with family and friends. A huge thank you to the entire team for providing such a wonderful dining experience. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment and will definitely return the next time we are in Westport. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the area!

15/07/2026: Great place to eat and drink, limited outside parking which is free for customers, nice selection of food at reasonable prices, grat staff, quick service and a great pint of Guinness

11/08/2026: A Port Mor did not disappoint. We enjoyed the three-course dinner, chose different dishes for each course, and shared tastes. Hard to pick a favorite, but the pavlova was a standout. The carafe of house white wine was just right for two.

08/08/2026: Good quality local and foreign products, including wines and an amazingly delicious selection of mostly Irish cheese. The owner made us feel very welcome by coming outside to meet us and to tell us more about the products, which then developed into a very nice conversation about all kinds of interesting topics. Overall, an excellent experience!

11/08/2026: A classic Irish pub with live music. There's live music every day from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm and again from 9 pm onwards. It gets quite crowded, but the atmosphere is great.

02/08/2026: Decent bar with lots of different areas inside and out. Live music throughout the day, it started at 4pm on Saturday.

21/08/2026: One word: amazing. Had dinner in this fabulous restaurant twice in August 26. There was great menu choices and further daily specials. The quality of the food- starters, mains and dessert - was second to none. The service was friendly and helpful, making us feel very relaxed. Would highly recommend

15/08/2026: We presented without a booking and the lovely owner hastily came up with a solution that worked for everyone. His brother Vasile was our wonderful waiter for the night and he could not have been more helpful! My husband is Vegan, and Vasile checked with the chef re a vegan starter which was fantastic… he also recommended the gourmet risotto for me, and it didn’t disappoint… it was absolutely fantastic… with no shortage of seafood… the best meal I’ve had out in several years in Ireland… no room for dessert, but I’m sure it’s equally as pleasing ❣️ Don’t miss this wonderful experience if you come to Westport. As an add on… we bumped in to Vasile later in the night and he told us he found a (precious) photo on the floor after we left… and will kindly forward on an electronic copy… above and beyond 💚

17/08/2026: Lovely restaurant, friendly staff, tasty food, sophisticated atmosphere. We felt the portions were a little on the small side considering the prices.

13/07/2026: Absolute joke kids could only go on the boats not aloud where shorts on the slides so bring trousers for the kids if you do decide to go, we drove an hour and a half from sligo to see the place not great at all worst experience ever we taught we would have a fantastic day with the child bit ended up leaving after half an hour waste of a journey... i did not like it as you got rid all of the god stuff

12/07/2026: Just visited this beautiful site Thursday and found out that it is closing for the next two years for renovation works. The house is beautiful but definitely in need of some TLC, would definitely revist to see it in all its glory once work has been carried out. We particularly enjoyed the Swan pedalo boats as this was a new experience for my kids. Would totally recommend a visit once it is up and running again
