11/05/2025: Located in the quay of Westport. We stopped in for a light lunch. We had a dozen oysters we shared, they were terrific and so fresh. I had the best ever seafood Chowder and the Guinness was delicious. We will be back!

01/03/2025: Amazing. Stumbled across this spot while looking for a light bite today. Sat in the window and people watched while enjoying the most fabulous cheese and meat platter with beautiful wine. A must try if in Westport.

04/05/2025: Hello, I took my son to Ireland for the first time and we went to some great dinners at Au Port Mor, Aronon’s, Sage and had a bottle of wine each dinner and paid via CC. All good until at Covey’s (at Westport Hotel). We were having a nice time until when I was leaving the server said I didn’t tip him (after he ran my CC). John the manager defended him. I am so embarrassed by the shake down that I left $30 on table. But to be clear the server ran my card I gave him and he didn’t ask me to add gratuity. I told John I would have been happy to but didn’t know I did something wrong and didn’t have EUR on me. He then said my $30 usd was too much. He can burn it. The bottom line is if you are an American don’t go to Covey’s as you will be held to a shake down by this terrible server from Istanbul and his loyal manager as the rest of their staff was horrified how I was treated.

11/05/2025: Classically decorated Irish lunchroom in Westport. We stopped here for a coffee/tea when we were in Westport. Good coffee and a nice selection of snacks and pastries. Interior is something Drue Pritchard (Salvage Hunters) would be jealous of. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

24/05/2025: Attracted by its appearance and delicious pastries, we decided to have a coffee and a muffin, and it was almost a mystical experience. The muffins were delicious, and it was the best coffee we've had in Ireland. There were even people enjoying their Irish breakfast.

16/05/2025: One of our favorite meals in Ireland! Staff was super friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious! We sat upstairs so it was more dimly lit and private but the downstairs was more of your typical pub atmosphere.

22/04/2025: Food was super tasty and reasonably priced for Westport. We got the Lobster ravioli and the steak sandwich. The menu was bilingual Irish-English, which was lovely, however, servers didn’t appear to speak Irish, unfortunately. That being said, service was still brilliant. Cosy and traditional with a modern spin - very trendy.

18/04/2025: Don't order fish and chips here. The fish is fried for far too long and is therefore dry and sometimes so hard that you can't even eat it all. After I pointed this out, no redress or anything like that was offered. It was literally the worst fish I've ever had at fish and chips. Very unfortunate.

18/03/2025: Absolutely shocking experience at this place. We arrived at around 1 o’clock on a Saturday afternoon, just looking for somewhere to watch the rugby. There were four of us, all sober, and we each ordered a drink. The pub was completely empty—no atmosphere, no other customers, nothing. Out of nowhere, the bar manager (or owner, not sure which) stormed over and started having a go at us for no reason. He was rude, aggressive, and seemed desperate to find an excuse to refuse us service. At one point, he even accused one of my friends of being drunk, despite the fact that none of us had even taken a sip of our drinks yet. It was bizarre, like he’d decided the second we walked in that he didn’t want us there and was just making stuff up. I’ve never experienced anything like it. If the place had been packed, I might have understood some stress, but it was dead—completely empty. You’d think they’d be glad for the business. Never mind had a much better afternoon watching the rugby somewhere else without giving complete edjits like himself the custom

12/05/2025: Amazing coffee. Loved the mango and salted caramel gelato. The mango sorbet tasted very natural.
