Il Vulcano in Westport

This actually brought me back to Italy

Nice italiano food. Great to escape the pub grub in the bars.

We ate there one weekday evening and had two very good pizzas. The staff were incredibly kind and we had a very good meal.

BEST seafood pasta + tiramisu I ever had! 🥂

Absolutely incredible dining experience at Il Vulcano! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The mussels were hands down the best I’ve ever had — perfectly cooked and served in the most delicious, flavorful broth that I honestly could have eaten on its own with a spoon. Just outstanding. Then came the lasagna… wow. I was completely blown away. Rich, comforting, and layered with so much flavor — easily one of the best I’ve ever tasted. To top it all off, the service was truly impressive. Attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience feel special from start to finish. Best Italian food I’ve had in a very long time & I’m not easily impressed. Highly recommend, don’t be fooled by the old looking outside of business, inside is perfect & so is the food.

We had a wonderful meal here tonight, with 3 adults, 2 children calling in on the late side. Extremely welcoming service despite coming in toward the end of service (and with two small kids to boot). They got our kids served quickly with some of the best pesto pasta we’ve had! And for the adults, really lovely wine and incredible mains! We were delighted with the sole-wrapped prawns, the zucchini & prawn ravioli, and the pork special. Highly recommend this spot for Italian food in Westport!
