22/08/2025: After a long day biking we wanted somewhere nice to rest up and eat. Walked by and on a whim went in, early for Ireland but best decision ever. Four great meals came out, well presented and delicious. Recommend the lamb rack, everything about it was just right. The staff were lovely as well, very good communication from them, keep it up.

28/09/2025: Very close to 5 stars! I got the curry cheese chips to go and the price is fair, my only issue was that it is very difficult to eat as the takeout box gets very messy due to the curry sauce (it spills out everywhere)—everything else is perfect! Service is mindful and kind, the shop is clean and is a relaxing place, I just hope the takeout boxes are changed

20/08/2025: Having read the reviews we decided to try The Everest Restaurant. Food was as good as you can get and reasonably priced. Service was slow as they were catering for takeaway orders. This can be to your advantage as you can relax, enjoy the ambiance, without being rushed off your table. We definitely will be back.

A bartender who treats you condescendingly from the start and even forbids you from participating in an internal discussion because it doesn't reflect his own. 13/08/2025: Didn’t eat here, but wouldn’t go back for drinks. Bartenders were not friendly at all and refused to make mixed drinks for Americans, but then made them for their friends who ordered right after. One acted as if he didn’t know what Tito’s vodka was. They had great live music and a lively crowd, but a very unwelcoming bunch. Americans should skip this spot and spend their money elsewhere. One of the few pubs the group had anything negative to say about.

16/08/2025: Good place to stop for a bit of grub. Deli has a good choice in food. Serena at the deli made me a gorgeous chicken fillet roll, lovely girl! Would recommend to anyone in the area 👍

10/11/2025: A horrible end to what had been a nice weekend. We visited here on a Sunday lunchtime after a weekend in the caravan park. We had drinks the night before, but decided to grab a quick pizza before heading home. They were preparing for a private event, so we asked if we could be accommodated, sitting outside and were told absolutely. We waited 15 mins before I went on the hunt for menus, and after another 15 minutes with no service, I went inside, where a sulky waitress, whom I was clearly inconveniencing, proceeded to reluctantly take my order. When ordered, I discovered the kids' meal didn't have the dessert, so she said she would " sort it out once we had eaten". My daughter's hot dog arrived along with our side of fries that we had ordered with our pizza. No cutlery or our drinks. There was a tsp of garlic mayo with the fries, which my daughter liked, so considering the portion was so tiny, I asked for a little more. This did arrive promptly, along with the card machine, for a €1.50 charge. Asked again for cutlery. The pizza eventually arrived, long after the fries were gone, and I asked again for my husband's drinks. When the pizza was gone, I went back in and asked for a refund for the non-arrival drinks, but after no sign of either a waitress or a refund, we left. We paid €37, including one Coke, which was not received. Additionally, we paid € 1.50 for an extra teaspoon of garlic mayo. The caravan park was fine, nothing special, but I couldn't fault it apart from having to wait 20 minutes for someone to come back to check in. I spent the whole meal in and out chasing menus, ordering drinks, and cutlery. etc - whole thing took over an hour despite no one else eating at the time - If they had just said that they were completely preoccupied with the later event, we could have gone somewhere that actually wanted us there. What the website doesn't make clear is that once you roll past Sept 1st, it's off-season and lots of things are closed , fewer choices of eating, etc.

14/07/2025: Lovely girls working here. Charming service. Great food. Fish and chips was massive. Great crispy fries. Good wood fired pizza. The atmosphere is cute and historic. Peaceful and pretty.

07/09/2025: A lovely restaurant with really great waitstaff! My friend said the bangers and mash was so good she could have it 3x over - highly recommended! The small steak was nice, a little sinew-y at first but the peppercorn sauce was delicious. Great portion sizes!

29/11/2025: Chef forgot to cook one of our main courses. Chips were cooked in oil possibly a week old. Waitress was more interested in being on her phone than looking after diners. An awful restaurant and terrible service. SHOCKING WITH A CAPITAL S. JUST AWFUL. AVOID . AVOID. AVOID.

06/10/2025: Visited with my family for my birthday. First Chinese since moving to Ireland last year. Food was great although rice side dishes were a little small. Staff were fantastic but the time between starts and main was quite long which was good for my 2 grandchildren.
