30/03/2024: 1 of the worst restaurants i hv encountered. To start with the lady managing the place at reception is tardy and provides horrible customer service. Time take to get the food ready was 1 hour. After 1 hour we recieved food with veggies barely chopped and half cooked. Extremely spicy and not nearly the right consistency or flavour. The biryani if it even can be called that was absolutely revolting with bitter tasting leaves mixed in it.
29/03/2024: We had chicken tikka masala and chicken biryani for dinner. It was delicious and perfectly cooked. We also ordered garlic naan and I have no words to describe how amazing the naan was, just out of the oven. 100% recommended.

02/04/2024: Went on a Wednesday night when they are not usually open, so was almost empty, but it had a good vive. Good music and lovely atmosphere. Service was good and drinks were good too. Kitchen was shut and we didn't have any food. Lovely cosy seats and will be a good place for a nice night out.
13/02/2024: Certainly lives up to its name with lots o comfy seating areas. Plenty of TVs around for those wanting to watch rugby, football etc. Cant comment on the food as we were only there for drinks.

❤️ Scone: just one word, "yum"!
Funny story about the scone - when we were buying it, one of the other customers started telling us how it was "the best scone he has ever eaten in his life". When walking around the village later, we bumped into this customer and he was even asking us straight away: "was that the best scone that you have ever eaten?! Surely must have been!" Well I must say it's definitely on the leaderboard! 🤩
31/03/2024: Fab sandwich and coffee, and great atmosphere sat eating and drinking watching a film crew outside!

The random food they handed out wasn't very nice.

06/11/2023: I recently had the opportunity to dine at McHugh's in Westport, and I found the food to be mediocre. I ordered the Mchughs special. The bread was slightly burned and hard as a rock!
I was disappointed with the quality of the food at McHugh's, as I had heard good things about it from friends. However, I would not recommend the westport cafe to others. Go to castlebar or anywhere else of you want McHughs.
19/07/2023: Really great tasting sandwiches and the best coffee around. The staff are always very friendly engaging and helpful.

16/03/2024: A good restaurant that is not directly on the street. The food was delicious, the prices were fair, but unfortunately everything took a little longer, even though the restaurant wasn't very busy.

05/10/2023: Came here vacationing, never been to Ireland before. The food and atmosphere were comforting, reasonably priced and the service was wonderful. Would definitely come back again just for the Margherita chicken, french martini, or even the sticky toffee pudding!!

17/03/2024: Waited over 45 minutes for our food and watched as everyone else who was sat after us get their meal. Finally had to get up and ask if our food was even put in and it was not, left without anything.
14/03/2024: Decent enough but nothing spectacular.
It does have a lot of choice on the menu which is something it has going for it.

27/08/2023: Booked a table on Saturday evening for my fathers birthday in Giovannas. Restaurant was lovely and had a brilliant atmosphere. The food was excellent and the presentation was great, we both ordered seafood pasta and had gotten desserts and coffee afterwards. Staff were very efficient & friendly! Will definitively be coming back and would recommend to anyone who loves pasta and pizza.
