The best restaurants in Westport

05/08/2025: Paid more than 15€ for burger and nuggets. So disappointed by the quality/price. Not good and so expensive

04/08/2025: I've ordered online from Blue Thunder many times before, and usually it's ok. Yesterday evening , however, I ordered A Doner Box Meal for collection. There was possibly 3 pieces of dried doner meat chopped up and scattered on top. The chips were completely drowned in mayo and sweet chilli sauce. Nothing about this meal resembled a Doner. The chips were disgusting, after lying under an avalanche of mayonnaise. Don't put Doner on the menu, if clearly, you don't know what constitutes a doner.

12/09/2025: Great food with a good choice, welcoming atmosphere, and really friendly staff. A lovely place to relax and enjoy breakfast – would definitely recommend.

10/11/2024: Decent station just a vending machine and toilets there, just be aware that bus eireann no longer collects from there even though online you can book a ticket from the train station but you need to go to Mill st that's the last stop for the buses it's about a 10minute casual walk from the train station

31/05/2025: Went here when the place was near empty to watch the rugby as Munster were playing. Game went to a kick off and the staff turned it off for the start of the European soccer. No consideration for people who had sat by buying pints for best part of 3 hours of o watch it he last 5 minutes.

05/08/2025: Fantastic pizza would highly recommend, you can bring it into the quays pub too and sit out on the terrace overlooking the sea. Can be a bit of a wait for food 20m-1hr when we went so plan accordingly

22/08/2025: After a long day biking we wanted somewhere nice to rest up and eat. Walked by and on a whim went in, early for Ireland but best decision ever. Four great meals came out, well presented and delicious. Recommend the lamb rack, everything about it was just right. The staff were lovely as well, very good communication from them, keep it up.

10/08/2025: A very nice restaurant with a small lunch menu at normal prices. Unfortunately, the quality was rather mediocre, and the food didn't live up to expectations or the price. The salad, which was offered as a full meal, was more like a side dish, and it also lacked chickpeas and croutons. The dressing wasn't "French" either, but a simple vinaigrette. Nothing dramatic, but not to be expected. Too bad.

20/08/2025: Having read the reviews we decided to try The Everest Restaurant. Food was as good as you can get and reasonably priced. Service was slow as they were catering for takeaway orders. This can be to your advantage as you can relax, enjoy the ambiance, without being rushed off your table. We definitely will be back.

16/08/2025: Lovely Restaurant in an old converted church. Well decorated bright interior with beautiful furniture and interesting pictures of Nepal and the Everest and Annapurna region. Staff were lovely but rushed off their feet on a busy Saturday night and it was clearly evident that takeaway orders were being prioritised over dining orders. Having said this food was uniformly delicious. We had onion bhajis which were crisp and generously sized, a butter chicken curry, a Nepalese chicken curry, pilau rice and a garlic naan bread plus some complementary poppadoms. The food was extremely enjoyable and definitely worth waiting for. However, my advice would be to leave plenty of time for your visit as we waited almost an hour for our starter and then it was another 25 minutes before the main course arrived. An alternative might be to try a different night in the week, which would be less busy on the takeaway front.

Bartenders were not friendly at all and refused to make mixed drinks for Americans, but then made them for their friends who ordered right after. One acted as if he didn’t know what Tito’s vodka was. They had great live music and a lively crowd, but a very unwelcoming bunch. Americans should skip this spot and spend their money elsewhere. One of the few pubs the group had anything negative to say about.

21/08/2025: This place is INCREDIBLE! The food is really tasty and the service is quiet fast which really inpresses me! The atmosphere is usually quiet when i went there! My dad is friends with a chef in this place
