05/09/2026: Have a lovely early dinner here this evening. Food was really tasty and plenty of it. Service was efficient and friendly. Overall a lovely meal that was value for money 💰

31/08/2026: Really nice spot for a bite to eat. Food is always good and the staff are friendly.

18/07/2026: Doesn't do food, but a great spot for a drink, especially for Rugby, or a late night out (depending on opening times). Beer garden is a sun trap between around 3 and 6.30. staff are sound.

27/06/2026: The music in the smoking area is ridiculously loud, the whole point of going outside is to get away from the music and have a chat. The music was genuinely louder in the smoking area than inside.

19/08/2026: Extremely overpriced for basic food lacking taste. Under staffed, long wait (40 mins from order time) disappointing all round.

05/09/2026: Extremely disappointing experience. I came to town specifically to visit this pub and was looking forward to spending the evening there, only to be refused entry by the bouncer without being given any clear reason. I hadn’t been drinking at all, wasn’t causing any trouble, and there was no explanation whatsoever for why I was turned away. Being treated like that after making a specific trip to visit the place was incredibly frustrating. If there was a legitimate reason for refusing entry, the least they could have done was explain it. Instead, I was simply refused at the door and left feeling completely unwelcome. Needless to say, I won’t be making the effort to visit again, and based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend the place to anyone. A really poor first impression and an even worse way to treat a potential customer.

05/09/2026: Turned up to the old grainstore this evening after 1 pint with dinner and got refused entry by a male bouncer because we were a group of 5 lads. We were meeting 2 friends from Westport who then had to leave the bar as we were refused entry. Not good enough but we will take our money somewhere else

28/08/2026: Very pleasant staff, however, confusion at pumps re some require payment before using.

03/08/2026: Service Station with Convenience Store and a good deli with seating areas inside and outside....

23/09/2026: Absolute trash please avoid at all costs, currently throwing up and chronic pain in stomach.. keep away!

04/09/2026: Had a very good spice bag here loaded with crispy chicken. Price and portion size were grand (used to having a bigger portion but I was stuffed so no points deducted at all). The person who took my order was kind and I don't think I waited longer than 10min for my order. Was very very tasty and would come back again :)

24/09/2026: Busy cafe but can get take away. Asked if they had any gluten free options for sandwich and was told could make any one I wanted and it was lovely

30/08/2026: Had a chicken club sandwich, the portion size was very generous and it tasted delicious. Indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly and helpful staff. It's right by the quadrant so very nice atmosphere when sitting outside.

23/08/2026: Food was amazing. We as a family of 6 (4 kids and 2 adults) ordered a variety of dishes...including chicken,beef,prawns,duck,noodles,rice,soup. Everything was delicious. We cannot wait to come back.

I’ve purchased two beautiful pieces of furniture for my home here in Castlebar, and every time I walk in, I can easily picture how everything would look displayed in my own space. The owners clearly care deeply about their thoughtfully curated collection and consistently go above and beyond to ensure a wonderful shopping experience. I can’t wait to come back and pick out more pieces to make my home even happier!
