My friend said the bangers and mash was so good she could have it 3x over - highly recommended!
The small steak was nice, a little sinew-y at first but the peppercorn sauce was delicious.
Great portion sizes!
18/08/2025: Excellent mussels, amazing service in a cool gastropub setting. Safe bet for a nice evening!

19/09/2025: This is the place, if you are looking for an authentic prison experience. Although I personaly think the prison would be cleaner. Our stay started with being sent to the wrong entry to the accomodation (its not the Red door). The rooms are completely empty except for the bed and the stains of the wall. Our room had a flashing smoke detector and a broken toilet seat, which was already mentioned in previous reviews, which leads me to believe not much maintenance is going on. Nevertheless the room is better than sleeping outside.
12/09/2025: Tasty and aromatic coffee, nice and kind staff, good location to take a break and enjoy coffee. Inside they have two comfortable cozy chairs. I am recommending this place!

21/08/2025: Schöne Sachen, wollten uns schon etwas kaufen! Als ich dann mein Handy rausholte wurden wir sehr unfreundlich angegangen!
Daraufhin sind wir wieder gegangen. Schade.
Answer to your comment: Accusing us of using google lens is clearly incorrect! We don’t even have the app! And you could have just asked us, instead of being rude to us. Then we could have explained why we used our phones (even though it’s our business)!
And just that you see, people also enjoy shopping in small local shops: I was asking my sister if this is a good idea for a present for our mother. We would have bought it 🤷♀️

03/02/2025: Just got Southern fried chicken it was done in the deep fryer disgusting burnt and like rubber don't buy food here should have no stars!!!
03/01/2025: Really disappointing kebab.
Thrown in a box, no chance to pick it up.
A weird spicy sauce. Mostly salad with a few bit of meat.
We also got garlic chips which were absolutely drowned in a very runny garlic mayo. They were ok.

08/09/2024: Very disappointed because we didn't even get in. It says on the internet that it's open, but we found a sign on the door saying it's closed. We were diverted from our route because of this cafe
23/08/2024: Stopped here for a quick sandwich, very tasty and fresh. The staff were friendly.

19/11/2024: Food was lovely as usual, service was good, but once 8.20pm came, we felt like we had to leave, staff started cleaning up & setting the place for breakfast, mostly residential people there, I just felt pushed out.
13/10/2024: We dined in Porto’s for a birthday meal and we have a lovely time, the food was lovely. We had a very kind waitress, Hattie, she was extremely helpful and attentive
