Friends Bistro in Westport

We had a fantastic experience at Friends Bistro during our recent trip to Ireland. Although we arrived without a reservation, the staff could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. Their food and wine recommendations were excellent, and everything we ordered was outstanding. The warm hospitality made the evening especially memorable. We highly recommend Friends Bistro and cannot wait to visit again.

A Mediterranean restaurant with truly exceptional food, where every dish is full of fresh flavors, high-quality ingredients, and beautiful presentation. Every bite is a delight, but the real masterpiece is the dessert—creative, unexpected, and absolutely unforgettable. It is a place where every course feels like a journey, and the final sweet creation is pure magic for the palate. An unforgettable dining experience that I would highly recommend to anyone who appreciates outstanding cuisine.

A wonderful experience dining at this delightful bistro. When I booked I’d made a note about my food allergies and intolerances, and when I arrived they’d already worked out what I could and couldn’t eat from their menu. The food and wine was delicious (highly recommend the duck confit) and the service impeccable.

We’ve gone here every time we’re in Westport. Food is delicious, especially the mussels. Service is welcoming and attentive. We are returning for my husband’s birthday.

The pork chop and mustard sauce superb!! I'd add a photo but I devoured it. The service was excellent and many choices.

One of the top dining experiences we've had while traveling in Ireland. Excellent service from a professional front of house team and class food from the kitchen. Impressive all round, especially being able to adjust the menu for gluten free. Can see why they've won awards. But still great value. So pleased we couldn't get in to the first place we went to.
