We had a lovely meal at The Helm Restaurant. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly service, and super fresh, perfectly cooked monkfish and black sole. A great spot for a casual, enjoyable dining experience.

I only went to the bar didn't stay there. The food was really great tasted very fresh and good are allowed, which my pet appreciated.

20/05/2026: Totally lived up to the hype, a really special restaurant. Fantastic service from our Hungarian waitress, everything cooked perfectly and full of fresh flavour. An essential stop in Westport.
02/05/2026: Excellent restaurant, delicious dishes made with quality ingredients, everything is homemade, in a lovely setting, friendly service, very good craft beer. Highly recommended!

Coast Bar

12/07/2026: Just visited this beautiful site Thursday and found out that it is closing for the next two years for renovation works. The house is beautiful but definitely in need of some TLC, would definitely revist to see it in all its glory once work has been carried out. We particularly enjoyed the Swan pedalo boats as this was a new experience for my kids. Would totally recommend a visit once it is up and running again
