Very tasty vegetarian pannini, lovely giant mug of mocha, and a comfortable spot to pass some time. Nice seating arrangements and aesthetics. Relaxed, comfortable vibe. Not the cheapest, but who wants to spend a good period of time drinking cheap coffee and trying to get work done in a cramped shop on plastic seats?

It can get very busy at times. Empty tables can be dirty, you have to wipe down yourself at times. Coffee has never been bad here, just gets more expensive. The food is overpriced. Only come here seldomly for convenience.

09/02/2025: The Wandering Elk in Portlaoise is a great spot for a casual bite. Their toasted sandwich was amazing—crispy, packed with flavour, and great value for money. The coffee was delicious and paired perfectly with their sweet treats. Service was efficient but could have been a bit more welcoming. Still, for a tasty, satisfying lunch, it’s well worth a visit.
15/12/2024: Excellent coffee and the sambo melts were outstanding.... Love the harisa dip ...... 10 out of 10 .....top notch .

The Bay Tree

19/01/2025: This place serves a great tasty breakfast. Also it is definitely the best place in Portlaoise for gluten free options. The lunch menu is very extensive and great value.
12/01/2025: One of our little favourites, we visit here often to catch a coffee and a moment❤️. Food staff are brilliant. Why we keep coming back 🥰🥰
