Lovely spot - clean, warm and kids obviously love it. I particularly like that parents don't have to go in with the kids, it's not too big so even sitting down and having a cup of coffee (good coffee, too!! 😉), you can almost always determine where your child is. There is different foods / snacks available and after each 90 minute session, everyone has to leave and the play area is cordoned off so it makes it easier to get the kids out. If it's not busy they leave people in though, which is great too.

I found Crag Cave. Now I will get more detailed information about this location to provide a comprehensive response. Crag Cave is a beautiful cave system located in Crag, County Kerry, Ireland. It is known for its well-lit and easily navigated pathways, making it a great option for families with children. Here are some key features of Crag Cave: * Beautiful formations: The cave boasts stunning rock formations, including stalactites, stalagmites, and flowstones. * Informative audio guide: An audio guide provides interesting information about the cave's history and geology. * Family-friendly: The cave is well-lit and easily accessible, making it a safe and enjoyable experience for children. * Soft play center: An adjoining soft play center called Crazy Cave provides entertainment for younger children. * Other attractions: Crag Cave also offers a gift shop and a cafe. * Accessibility: The cave is wheelchair accessible, with ramps and elevators available. Crag Cave is a subterranean cave system that is thought to be over one million years old. It was formed by underground rivers and flood-filled chambers eroding limestone rock over millennia and is almost four kilometers long. Visitors can experience the cave through guided tours, dramatic lighting, and a sound system. Crag Cave is open Friday to Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Overall, Crag Cave is a highly-rated attraction with a 4.4-star rating on Google Maps. It offers a fascinating glimpse into the natural wonders of Ireland and is a great option for a family outing. We went on the February Bank Holiday and it was very quiet. A really large cave, was great fun and the kids loved it. Nice cafe also. A great place to stop at on your journey.

Quite expensive given the depth and duration of the tour. The tour was 30 mins Max and 35 Euro for mam, dad and daughter.

I received an exceptional welcome, I am still very touched by it. It's a beautiful route (remember that a rainy day has no impact!) where we are left free, with an audio guide that we control: everyone can therefore go at their own pace. The only downside - if it is one: the French-speaking version of the audio guide sounds like a recording of passing amateurs who stumble and smile at what they say :) But that doesn't hinder understanding. There is a large room of structures and slides on site for children who might be bored by the cave. I recommend!

We didn't expect much but we were wrong. A fantastic little cave system. Get the audio tour if going self guided. You only need to put it on one phone. At least that's what we did. The cafe is really nice. The cakes were delicious and the coffee was good too. There is a shop which sells a good selection of products.

Very interesting especially when you have audio description and no rush to leave. The baileys coffee was fabulous in the cafe, and the staff were extremely friendly.

Sherwoods

14/03/2025: On a 6 night trip to this part of Ireland and Sherwood's didn't reach the standard of all other eateries we stopped at. The seafood chowder was disapppinting as it was more thin sauce/soup than other chowders I've eaten and lacked the creaminess. The quantity of seafood was not plentiful. The minute steak was quite chewy and was not the flattened thin steak that we expected. The staff members were not impolite but also weren't the friendly chatty folks we'd come across everywhere else. The table next to us sent a dish back as it was cold. Overall, a disappointing experience.
15/12/2024: Food is proper and tasty. The burgermear is proper beef (you can almost taste the cow) and the chips are chunky and homemade. The turkey and ham dinner was divine, smokey, yet not overwhelming. Highly recommended rather than going into town
