Craineen's Pub in Cahirciveen

We were traveling through while we were driving the Ring of Kerry. Found this little Pub to stop in at and had some food and drink. The guy behind the bar was super helpful who turned out to be the owner Tommy. He was also the chef and whipped up some amazing lunch for us. One of the drinks we wanted needed cream so he went down to the store next door and bought some for us. One of the items on the lunch menu was the salmon on toast which was amazing and he went a couple businesses down to the local fish market and got a fresh filet of salmon. We also had some burgers and a wrap and they were all amazing and tasted great. The best part was the commentary and talking with Tommy as he had great ideas of places for us to go and see while we were there some of the best places we saw on our holiday trip we're because of Tommy. Great guy funny full of good ideas. Definitely a place to stop and see if you're in the area. FYI you'll be able to understand him a little better because he's originally from Boston. Tell him the O'Connell sisters and their husbands sent you from the states.

Authentic pub. Since I wasn't sure about the beer, I was offered a sample without asking. Top-notch service.

Stopped off here while cycling the Ring of Kerry. Tom and the fellow behind the bar run a great little pub here. I ordered up one of the specials on the board for lunch. Open Faced Salmon Sandwich. Tom walked over to the seafood market after I ordered it and picked up the fresh catch of the day. Class pub out of Tom and the crew.

Absolutely amazing. Great food, the chef was so friendly and came out of the kitchen asking if his food was good:) Very good service and a great atmosphere, mainly locals
