Stopped here for breakfast before catching my train out. Really nice cafe with fair prices and good food. Staff is super friendly and beared with me as I dumped a bunch of change on them that I had been lugging around.

The atmosphere is very welcoming, you immediately feel at home. Truly excellent croissants, on par with a worthy French bakery. But as an Italian, a REAL and EXCELLENT espresso!!!! Well done!!

Love this place! The staff, food, drinks, and even the music they play is perfect!! ❤️ My family and I come here every week for scrambled eggs on toast and pancakes for the kids for a nice, light breakfast!

Location Situated centrally within Cobh and close to the titanic museum. There is no dedicated parking however there is local high street parking Decoration Nicely decorated allowing for a chilled casual environment Food The food was excellent perhaps the best ham and cheese panini that I’ve had since moving to Ireland Service Even though it was just service was good and prompt

01/07/2025: We discovered this wonderful pub during our Ireland road trip and what a fantastic find it was! The Anchor Bar is tucked away on a steep street, well off the beaten tourist path - which is exactly what makes it so special. This is where you experience authentic Irish pub atmosphere: cozy and rustic with beautiful maritime décor that perfectly suits Cobh. But the absolute highlight is the stunning view over the bay - simply breathtaking! The prices are very reasonable and the barkeeper (a genuine Liverpool fan) was incredibly warm and welcoming. We had wonderful conversations not only with him but also with the other locals - these are the moments that create the best travel memories. Anyone visiting Cobh who wants to experience an authentic Irish pub away from the tourist crowds should definitely stop by here. Highly recommended!
