Cush in Ballycotton

I absolutely love Cush. The food is amazing.

We found this hotel with highly reviewed restaurant and felt so fortunate to have booked it. A small and personalized experience with amazing breakfasts and dinners that we completely loved every day of our stay. The views were phenomenal. The access to the cliff walk was perfect. We stayed in late October so the village was quiet. Which we loved. But if we can we’ll return when it’s warmer to soak up more of the Oceanside amenities. This is a special place run by fabulous people who care about making your stay special and memorable. It was all of that and more.

Fantastic views of the lighthouse, very customer focused staff, and incredible food. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent. Location is perfect to access the Cliff Walk and has great views of the pier as well as the lighthouse and bay.

An outstanding meal as always. Who knew cabbage could be so yummers?!!!

Cush is a lovely restaurant/bar accommodation situated right on the pier overlooking Ballycotton lighthouse. I would recommend it.

Fabulous meal Grilled Ballycotton Langoustine, Romesco Sauce, Salsa Verde. Blue Fin Tuna Crudo, Taramasalata, Pickled Fennel, Smoked Almond. Grilled Wild John Dory, Chargrilled Iona Farm Baby Courgette, Langoustine Sauce. Fillet of South Coast Black Sole, Peas, Broad Beans, Mussel & Seaweed Butter Sauce. Roast Rack of East Cork Lamb, Celeriac Purée, Broad Beans, Crushed Celeriac, Black Garlic and Pepper Sauce. Roast Breast of Thornhill Duck, Leg Sausage, Glazed Beetroot, Pickled Walnut, Whiskey Choux filled with New Season Irish Strawberries, Chantilly Cream, Strawberry Sorbet. Single Origin Chocolate Mousse, Grue de Cacao, Garden Mint Ice Cream.

I can’t believe all the reviews about tiny portions, maybe these diners should visit their local truck stop. The food was really good, well presented & tasty It’s fine dining so if this isn’t what you want don’t visit. Being a coeliac wasn’t an issue Very friendly & accommodating staff Will definitely return

We visited Cush to celebrate our recent engagement while we were in Ballycotton. The staff couldn't have been any more accommodating as we'd asked for a window seat in advance of visiting - we had a lovely window seat and two glasses of bubbly when we arrived to celebrate our special occasion. We opted for the tasting menu and every course was absolutely delicious. Each course that came out was as tasty as the one before and the guy who was serving our table took the time to tell us what each element on the plate was. We really liked the tasting menu as we got to try foods we haven't tried before. The tasting menu is slightly on the dearer side but if you're looking to treat yourselves or celebrate a special occasion, I'd definitely recommend Cush.
