We were staying in Farnham Estate and went into Cavan for a shopping trip and a visit to Dunnes Home. We saw Datses as we wanted a healthy lunch. I had a delicious fresh falafel salad 🥗 and my mum had an ‘everything salad’ with chicken and it was delicious. So fresh, all ingredients were top quality and prepared that day and a good sized portion. We also had a triple choc cookie and a coconut chocolate torte ( vegan) with a tea and hot chocolate. Staff were very friendly and helpful and good at explaining stuff. We also took a bag of decaf coffee and granola home with us!!

16/07/2025: blessings is essentially the backbone of cavan's alternative music scene, they do a lot for the community and they couldn't get enough support. the staff are very warm with everyone and it's a great place for finding alt people. cavan would be so miserable without this place

Meadow View Inn

20/11/2025: Food was amazing, big portions. However, service wasn't the best. We were there at 7.30 and even though it closes at 11pm, we felt unwelcome to stay with staff ignoring our table and having to be called constantly over to take the orders. While having a full bar, no option of cocktail orders. It felt like they were just counting down for us to leave. The only person who seemed welcoming was a dark haired lady who came up to our table a few times to check on us, but the younger staff kept ignoring unless we called them over.. Husband had scampi and was sick following day..
