Dax in Dublin

Had a fabulous meal here last night. Staff were very attentive.

Hemos cenado esta semana en Patrick Guilbaud y Capítulo Uno. Tomamos el foie gras salteado en Dax tonite, y créeme cuando te digo que podría haber sido un entrante en cualquiera de esos dos lugares Michelin estrella. Wow! Chef Grahah Neville puede no tener ninguna estrella Michelin (todavía) ... . pero este lugar es el verdadero negocio! Nos encantó su entrada principal de lomo de cerdo asado con repollo saboyano y jus de cerdo también. Bonitos bouches de diversión, gran pan! ¡El puré de patatas nos recordó a Joel Robuchon! Bonita carta de vinos a un precio razonable también, por copa o botella. Gran servicio. Si estás en Dublín y quieres una buena comida, prueba Dax... ¡por mucho menos que las dos estrellas! ¡No te decepcionarás! Bravo!

Outstanding food and excellent service at lunch -my wife has food /allergies and preferences that were not catered for in starter choices -asked for plain salad and instantly offered starter of heritage tomato /mozzarella from dinner menu. Food was uniformly good I had stuffed courgette flower with lobster/prawn mousse -worth every penny of 6.59 supplement ! We will be back !

We had an early dinner here with friends and it was excellent from start to finish. The owner and staff looked after us and selected delicious wines for us. The food was fabulous across the board, being tasty, interesting and not pretentious. We had a drink in the bar after our table sitting ended which was cosy and good to do. If there's any negative that the basement and old world setting might not suit everyone but it's pretty French so only adds to the experience. I can't wait to return.

Excellent service but with a high price tag that is worth every penny... quality of service and food preparation and taste is second to no one... selection of wine 🍷 is very good and premium 👌

There for lunch last week. As usual the welcome was warm and friendly. Food was excellent and like usual the service was both friendly and professional. Don't hesitate to ask for advice on both food and drink. They will always make recommendations that will not break the bank. A great location for that special occasion . Highly recommend a visit. Great for groups or intimate dining. Book in advance as it is very popular because of the high standard of food and service. Will be back

Dax is an excellent Restaurant - The Menu, Staff and Superb Wine List makes for a great evening. I had the Curragh Plains Lamb and it was delicious. All my party enjoyed the food and Dax is a must visit if you are in Dublin

This was superb. A relative bargain at 89 euro for the menu. The lobster and prawn stuffed zucchini flower was delightful. The lamb was sublime and the jack dorey fish was delicious as well. And the meringue and chocolate were both outstanding. Service was sublime. One of the best meals I have ever had.
