Enjoyed a sensational lunch here today. Courgette flower bisque, shoulder of lamb and a chocolate/hazelnut dessert were all stunning and a glorious bottle of Portuguese wine. 10/10. Keep up the great work!

From the moment we arrived to the final touch of dessert, we experienced a truly magical experience.
Olivier, the owner, and Charlotte, our waitress, welcomed us with rare warmth and kindness.
Each dish was carefully presented, and the taste remained exceptional from start to finish.
The pan-seared foie gras will remain one of my greatest culinary experiences to date.
As for the John Dory fillet, it was simply worthy of the finest Michelin-starred restaurants in France.
The wines offered by the glass were also of high quality, perfectly paired with the dishes.
We left amazed.
We highly recommend this place, without the slightest hesitation.

I had no idea when I was planning our visit that we'd have *two* fantastic meals I felt worthy of at least one Michelin star! Serendipitous to say the least. Again, our meals were like eating fine art - every plate was gorgeous and it took everything we had not to inhale but slow down and savor the incredible flavors. The meal started with an amuse-bouche consisting of a sushi bite, one I can't remember, and a delicious goug猫re. For starters, my husband had the stuffed courgette flower surrounded by an unctuous seafood bisque - the bisque was utterly amazing. I had the goat cheese salad, a riot of color and taste. My husband had the John Dory nightly special for his main, while I had the most perfectly cooked lamb with an apricot compote. Desserts were a trio of chocolate confections (husband) and a scrumptious pavlova (me). And as a special surprise, they brought out a plate with "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate, with a chocolate raspberry truffle and a mini lemon tart. The lemon flavor was to die for! Our server was very correct and knowledgeable, but the real delight was the assistant server - I wish I'd asked her name. She graciously allowed me to speak French with her (she's from Montpellier) and we had such a great time chatting I was afraid I'd get her in trouble for neglecting her other duties. She was the true gem of the place. The restaurant is cozy and intimate, and it was completely packed. I wholeheartedly recommend booking a table!

Dinner at Dax on a recent mid-week evening was a real treat. The ambience, the beautiful space, everything is superb. The service was excellent, professional & charming. I cannot recommend the food highly enough. This place is truly special. Merci.

Mi esposa y yo visitamos Dax en marzo. Nos quedamos muy contentos con la comida que comenz贸 con pan y delicioso y delicado bouche de rat贸n. Para empezar, ella ten铆a el pollo pithivier y yo ten铆a foie gras con esp谩rragos, que podr铆a haber comido toda la noche! Para la alimentaci贸n, mi esposa hab铆a derretido - en - tge - la boca de venado y yo ten铆a vieiras y cerdo, que ven铆a con una salsa maravillosamente rica.
