Deja Vu in Malahide

Excellent food and great service.

We were looking for a place for a weekend breakfast catch-up close to the airport as one of us was flying in especially. Deja Vu was a very good choice. It was surprisingly easy to find a car park on a Saturday morning, and we had time for a stroll by the sea before breakfast. The table we had booked was all set up and waiting for us. The space is appealing, light and bright yet with character, and great for conversation. The service was excellent, and everything came out in good time. The coffee scored well with me too. The brunch menu offers all the usual cafe favourites, and the six of us ordered five different dishes. The portion sizes are small, the only thing any of our party thought could have been improved on. Malahide is an appealing place with quality independent shops just around the corner, the park and the sea nearby and everything well kept and clean. We definitely picked the right place.

Positives: The location is excellent, and I loved the cosy and bright interior design. The presentation of the dishes, especially the soup, was beautiful. Areas for Improvement: Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy the sweet potato and ginger soup as I found it too heavy for my taste. Additionally, the wait time for our food was longer than expected, and it felt like we may have been forgotten. Lastly, the atmosphere during lunch was a bit chaotic and not ideal for a relaxing lunch break

Came in on the off chance and I think we were lucky to get a table without a booking on a Sunday lunchtime. Lovely staff and beautiful food - the beetroot and goat's cheese salad was elegant and a good portion size, and the halloumi sandwich excellent - with a really tasty sauce and lovely sourdough. Very good eating experience!

What alse you want? Amazing food, coffee and ambience. Food looks great and taste amazing. You can't ask for more.

Small and cozy place for a small brunch. Loved it but charging 4.60 for an almond capuccino is really expensive. Please, do mot charge those extra 60 cents for the almond milk.

It has sitting outside for customers who prefer the sights and sounds of the location and many sitting places inside the restaurant. The staff were friendly and nice. The menu is elaborate and caters to different taste buds 😋 requests. The meals are inexpensive and mostly under twenty €€ in the double-digit brackets. Déjà Vu pride themselves in serving healthy meal to thwir customers, and their chefs 👨‍🍳 👩‍🍳 are in touch with their taste buds. And of course, there is a customer restroom 🚻 inside the restaurant. I will strongly recommend it.

Super good pain perdu: french toast with maple syrup and bacon!
