Recently stopped in for a spot of brunch and couldn’t recommend enough! Staff were super friendly and service was so quick! French toast with bacon and maple syrup was great but my eyes were bigger than my belly and couldn’t finish it all, server kindly recommend that I order the smaller kids portion the next time I visit.
Looking forward to another visit soon!
A fantastic atmosphere. Watching the cook prepare delicate dishes with a perfect combination of ingredients elevates the experience. The toast and sandwiches, as well as the roasted tomatoes-peppers soup, the coffee (interesting options such as the coconut mill mocha and a small canelé to close. The friendly staff who make a great effort to please to each client and they make you feel like a guest in their home. As extra information: You can reserve and it is worth it, since there are few tables. If you intend to bring a baby stroller, it is not the place.
We stopped for a brunch after cycling. We were seated quickly on a busy Saturday afternoon. Food was good. We tried the irish breakfast, toastie, and coffee. The ingredients used were very high quality. The potato rösti was particularly good. The fries were good as well.
Overall satisfied with my brunch. My dish was delicious but the portion a bit small compared to the price and other brunch restaurants that offer the same thing. The place is a bit small and I highly recommend booking in advance.
I recommend!
We were looking for a place for a weekend breakfast catch-up close to the airport as one of us was flying in especially. Deja Vu was a very good choice. It was surprisingly easy to find a car park on a Saturday morning, and we had time for a stroll by the sea before breakfast. The table we had booked was all set up and waiting for us. The space is appealing, light and bright yet with character, and great for conversation. The service was excellent, and everything came out in good time. The coffee scored well with me too. The brunch menu offers all the usual cafe favourites, and the six of us ordered five different dishes. The portion sizes are small, the only thing any of our party thought could have been improved on. Malahide is an appealing place with quality independent shops just around the corner, the park and the sea nearby and everything well kept and clean. We definitely picked the right place.
01/03/2025: I entered just as they where closing, yet the staff were very friendly and accomadating. Coffee was great but star of the show was the sausage roll...absolutely stunning and I would class myself as a bit of an expert in this area having ate thousands lol
