Denny's in Cork

My family are regulars and usually the service is great. The ladies there always treat us with such kindness. Today I was served by a man, who I presume is the owner. It was going alright until the card I was using wouldn't accept being tapped and needed to ring to get the pin. All was fine. I turn around to leave and I hear him talk about me before I even have the door fully open... "What was her deal on the phone" as if he was expecting me to magic up the money even though he was right in front of me when I said the words "What is the pin again?" down the phone.
