Derg House Café in Killaloe

Had some nice soup served with beautiful brown bread.

A café which is also an excellent bakery, and which is run by very friendly people. Perfect for enjoying: pastries, sandwiches, croque-monsieur, etc.

Omlette was one of the best !! All food were piping hot !! Great salads

Very cozy and uplifting small cafe with nice view on the bank of Shannon. we’ve been immediately noticed and looked after with a smile. I had the nicest , biggest and tastiest club sandwich ever.

Excellent food owners lovely people

This cafe has ruined my life (wink wink). We stopped in for lunch on our first trip to Ireland. My omelette was the best I’ve ever had. Best ever! And now I must live the rest of my life eating omelettes that will never live up to the to the French-style perfection that I was served at Derg House. The place itself is charming and the staff/proprietors warmed our hearts. If in town (or even a nearby town—it’s worth the drive!), I highly recommend Derg House to happily reward your breakfast or lunch expectations.
