Fabulous spot to grab an informal bite to eat with friends. Food was delicious. Service was friendly and exceptional. I would like to commend two employees who went out of their way to make our dinner, drinks and dessert a memorable experience. Precious and Ben gave us friendly and efficient service and we had a great time. Thank you Precious and Ben. I highly recommend Dillisk on the Docks.

Salt 'n' Pepper

08/11/2024: I recently enjoyed the Fish and Chips at Salt and Pepper in Galway, and it was worth the €15. The fish was fresh with a delightfully crispy batter, and the chips were equally fresh and well-prepared. I appreciated the sides of lime and tater sauce, which added a nice touch. Most importantly, there was no hint of an oily aftertaste, a clear sign that fresh oil was used—something that made the meal even better. It’s a quality dish that delivers on taste, freshness, and value. Highly recommended for fish and chips.

Gaslight Brasserie

23/09/2024: I tried to go to the Gaslight Brasserie, but when I got there they said it was closed. Google said it was open! I’m giving it 5 stars for honestly gaslighting me.
16/07/2024: Myself and my husband ate at the Gaslight on Saturday evening at 8pm. We were married in the hotel in 2018, but lots of change since then. The new layout to the Gaslight really feels much more like a restaurant with the bar no longer so close to you in the middle. It seems logical to have it as a more luxury dining experience, then Oyster bar for a drink, or MacNeils for more causal dinner and drink. It made so a much more intimate setting. We requested a window seat, and were given a beautiful booth. Sitting at 8pm, it was still glorious outside, and the restaurant was filled with light which was beautiful. Staff were friendly and attentive. The menu and food itself really has had a massive relaunch! We were wowwed with each course. The presentation, attention to detail, and such bursting fresh flavour was fabulous. For starters we had Oysters, Sea Bass crudo and Beef Tartare. All delicious! For mains I had a cod & prawn mosaique with saffron risotto. An unexpectedly hearty portion, so well presented. My hubby had the fillet of beef, which he declared better than a few top eateries around, very high praise indeed! Well done to new Head Chef Dominique Majecki and team on an exciting fresh start!
