Diwali in Dublin

Went here two days in a row because the first time I enjoyed it so much. The second time was just as good and they even gave us a complimentary baileys on the house I think because we returned so soon. Thoroughly recommend!!!

Absolutely wonderful place! Especially enjoyed their papadam, so light and airy! Food was delicious and portion sizes were huge, we had enough for another full meal of leftovers.

Absolutely loved my experience at Diwali Restaurant! The food was unreal, the service was amazing, and the boss is an absolute star! I actually met him on the street while fundraising, and he turned out to be one of the kindest, most genuine people ever. Couldn’t recommend this place enough — 10/10 food, 11/10 vibes ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ordered from them via Uber Eats three nights in a row. Excellent vegetarian food, freshly prepared, generous quantity, and flavorsome curry and breads. Tried paneer chilli garlic, paneer kadhai and saag paneer - each one of them was excellent, especially the saag paneer. Threw in an extra coke and cobra beer for the first order which was very kind of them.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Diwali Restaurant! The combination of Indian and Nepalese flavors was incredible — everything tasted so fresh, authentic, and full of rich spices. I started with a Mango Lassi, which was smooth, creamy, and perfectly sweet — the ideal way to begin the meal. The Garlic and Plain Naan were warm, soft, and beautifully baked — perfect for scooping up the flavorful sauces. The Bhuna Chicken was the star of the show — tender, aromatic, and packed with just the right amount of spice. The Dal was comforting and delicious, with a deep, home-cooked flavor that tied the whole meal together. The service was friendly and attentive, and the cozy atmosphere made the dining experience even better. My visit to Diwali Restaurant left mixed impressions. The space inside was quite cramped, although the early bird option was a nice touch, making an evening visit a bit more accessible. The food was tasty: I especially enjoyed the lemon rice and peshwari naan — they really stood out. However, the service significantly spoiled the overall experience. We waited a long time for water, asking several times, and it seemed we weren’t the only table experiencing this. Our waiter was openly arrogant, which felt unpleasant and completely unnecessary for a cozy dinner. In my opinion, the prices are high for the portion sizes offered. Paying separately for rice and naan also noticeably increases the bill. Overall, I liked the cuisine and would like to return — but the service was what prevented us from fully enjoying the evening.

Hoy visitamos Diwali para cenar en la calle George. La comida estaba buena pero un poco cara para lo que obtienes. Hay que pagar cinco euros extra si pides un arroz diferente, como pilaf, que no viene con el plato principal. También me dieron una Coca-Cola grande que obviamente era de una botella de plástico de dos litros por la que también me cobraron cinco euros, estaba sin gas y sin sabor... el personal parecía bastante amable, pero no tenían prisa en volver...

Nos sorprendió gratamente encontrar este restaurante en Dublín. Nos gusta la comida india y hay muchos lugares para elegir en casa. Diwali estuvo a la altura de estos. Empezamos con los momos que estaban riquísimos y la salsa estaba buena. Nuestros platos principales incluían pollo tikka masala, un plato dal, pollo biryani, masu ra saag, además de arroz y naan con ajo. Terminamos todo. Estaba delicioso.
