Ordered a pizza and garlic bread, went in to collect and on my name was ready. The pizza was ready but then they had to go and make the garlic bread, about 7-8 working behind. Another lady also had to wait for something as her order wasn’t fully fulfilled after calling her name and another guy walked out with a large pizza with no dip inside. Pizza was slightly cold as a result by the time I got home

I went in and was greeted with pure happiness by the staff. The food was absolutely beautiful now. It only took about 15 minutes and it was gorgeous.

My Melody Bistro

13/09/2026: We visited the River View Bistro restaurant for lunch today—a very lovely, cozy spot in Athlone. They served delicious food at very reasonable prices, and the waitstaff were polite and friendly. The restaurant is situated in a beautiful location, opposite the old castle and right next to one of the oldest pubs. We will definitely be back for dinner soon!
11/09/2026: River View Bistro is a centrally located Italian restaurant just steps from the river and the castle. The atmosphere is pleasant and conversant. The service was quick and attentive. We ordered focaccia, seafood bisque, and stew, all of which were delicious. The bread and butter was delightful. It's a shame it's not closer to home 🥲.

29/08/2023: Nice, rustic restaurant with numerous niches. Food was excellent as was the pint. Service very friendly...gladly again.
27/07/2023: Nice bar, had the chowder, it's a starter, but it was filling, superb flavour, great mix of shellfish. There was more than enough to keep most people going.
