Peddler Mac's Bar & Beer Garden in Athlone

09/06/2026: Let me begin this review by extending a massive bravo to the owners of McDonalds Athlone. What they have done with the place is nothing short of spectacular. When I first walked through the doors of the newly renovated McDonald's I was hit with a wave of childlike nostalgia. The new layout mixes the familiarity of the McDonalds of old with a breath of fresh air from a modern McDonalds. This service was impeccable with a waiter coming to ask if our succulent meal was up to standard (to which I responded with a resounding yes!). Me and my colleagues will most definetely be making a return. We have already started planning our next visit!! One of my colleagues told me that McDonalds actually invented happiness. So cool. I'm loving it!

09/06/2026: Absolutely blown away by the improvements here. Upon entering you are graced with a beautifully elegant arrangement of brand new seating; Topped off by a wonderful crew who offer an unforgettable service experience We were quick to be seated and well looked after. I came here on the way home from a business meeting in a nearby business which we talked about business in. Each of my party were wonderfully looked after and delivered a beautiful entrée of nuggets and frites followed by a main course which consisted of a full Berger. Wow. Wow. Wow. Will absolutely be making a return to this establishment, hopefully before the end of the day. Thank you McDonalds Athlone; You have been wonderful
