Highly recommended place to dine in Waterville. We tried the ribs, the chicken wings and the roast beef... all delicious and very good service!

So much fun to have dinner here. Was recommended by our B&B Host at Seaclusion. Food was high quality, and service was excellent. Definitely get the apple crumble.

What a view! Worth a visit for a pint just for this alone. The barkeep was nice and provided info on the local beers available - McGills Skellig monk was my choice. However not the fastest service. Did I mention the view?

Decent place in Waterville we stopped at driving The Ring of Kerry. Service was so-so. Pints were decent. Everyone ordered the seafood chowder. Piping hot, comes with delicious bread. Lots of fish in it, a very hearty meal. A little watery though. Thin. Not much else around, but if you're on the Ring of Kerry, a decent enough place to stop. Located on the main road, right across from the water, so great views depending on your table.

This was a stopping point for lunch on our Ring of Kerry Tour. We had either seafood chowder or fish and chips. the poor waitress was overwhelmed because there were so many of us. Our bill had to be redone 3 times because of errors. I felt bad for her.

04/11/2024: I recently visited Cable Cafe in Oval on a quiet Monday morning, when it seemed every other place was closed—and I’m so glad I did! From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by the wonderful staff, Millie and Alex, who truly made my experience memorable. They provided fantastic customer service, making me feel like I was catching up with old friends rather than just grabbing a drink (wink wink!). Millie and Alex were both incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm, bringing such a positive energy to the cafe. Their dedication and love for what they do shine through, making Cable Cafe not just a great spot for food/drink, but also a lovely part of the community. It was such a wholesome experience, and I left with a smile on my face. If I ever find myself back in Oval, I’ll definitely be stopping by again! Honestly, Millie and Alex are such a credit to Cable Cafe—they deserve a pay rise!
