A mixed experience - we chose takeaway here & ordered fish and chips, a stir fry, and a monkfish dish. The fish & chips were excellent. The stir fry was tasty but had quite a bit of chili, which was not mentioned on the menu. The monkfish was hugely disappointing - three bite size pieces of fish on a lump of spinach - for 38 euro!! By all means recommended for standard dishes, but check ingredients & avoid anything that sounds fancy!

For a seafood restaurant, no seafood dishes were served at lunchtime, only fish in sauce... Served quickly, the meal was just okay, expensive for what it was. Waitresses were not very friendly.

Stopped by after a long day of hiking and driving. Had the chowder and the seafood linguini. Honestly, if I had the choice, I would just eat the chowder nonstop. It was out of this world. Service was great and atmosphere was nice. Prices are just ok.

09/08/2025: Dated, but nice. Right across from the beach. Small town with not a lot of options.
29/07/2025: Liked our stay at this hotel for sure. Family room so spacious (biggest we have stayed in) with access to a little lawn outside and chairs. Staff very friendly. Big snooker table there and very clean. Central location Food in restaurant was fine. For a hotel it was ok. Would have liked a nicer vegetarian option. They did a pasta dish on request which was nice of them. My husband got Chicken supreme and it was like a nice. Would stay here again.

Beachcove Cafe

30/05/2025: Such a lovely cafe in Waterville. Fluffy pancakes, delicious cooked breakfast and delicious granola bowls. We’ve visited for lunch previously which was also fantastic. Friendly service and great coffee.
16/05/2025: We lucked out with sunny weather and grabbed an outdoor seat at this charming café along the Ring of Kerry. The fish and chips were hot, crispy, and delicious, especially paired with the minty mushy peas, fresh salad, and homemade tartar sauce. The staff were warm and welcoming, making the experience even better.
