We had our wedding reception in Drury Buildings on Friday and it was absolutely wonderful. The food was phenomenal, our guests are still raving about the dishes and the perfectly paced service. After dinner, we moved to the Loft for the after-party, where the bar staff were impeccable. In the run-up to the day, the whole team were fantastic to deal with. They were so accommodating, even letting us set up and decorate a couple of days beforehand, which made everything stress-free. A special mention must go to Edson, the events manager, who must be the calmest man in Ireland! He was incredibly responsive to our queries and always reassuring, even when we had a million questions. Above all, Drury Buildings is outstanding value for a city-centre wedding reception. We had around 70 guests between dinner and the after-party, and every single one of them was so well taken care of. Thank you to Edson and the entire team for making our day so special!

Food was very tasty, my only critique is that it could have been hotter. Food came out very quick so it felt like it was dishes that were premade and just sitting around.

Had lunch there and was lovely. Portions are a bit small but the food was great nonetheless. Unfortunate how they don’t have Guinness at the bar :(

Wanted to love this place, but was underwhelmed. My actual server seemed annoyed I was there and only checked on me one time (besides the initial ordering and bill service) even as I saw her check on others. I had to order more through the host who came to check on me throughout the night. Maybe they were understaffed, who knows. The food was mostly good (some of it a bit bland for me), and came very quickly, but the cocktails were the real star! Great atmosphere, I just think the service and food menu could use a little more attention for the portions and prices. I ordered two cocktails (€14.50 each), olives (€6), focaccia (€8), a salad (€12), and the octopus (€15)

I love this bar! The staff is amazing, super friendly and super fast. They have a lovely food menu too - right mix of mains, starters and desserts. I love the spicy margaritas and their overall cocktail menu is very interesting too. They have 3 floors of seating and outdoor seating as well.

Best spot we’ve been in Dublin, no doubt about it. Best selection of liquors. Best bartender (thanks again Vivienne!). Best atmosphere; even ex-employees came around to say hi and have a drink with their old coworkers. I have no idea why it wasn’t busier, but highly recommend you come try it!

Wynn's Hotel

17/08/2025: Walked past this hotel many times when I was studying in the 'college of knowledge' over 30 years ago. A magnificent hotel history established as far back s 1845 and restored 1921 after being bombed in the rising of 1916; the breakfast room with high ceilings and wide windows (tax must have been expensive) let you look out at the hustle and bustle of the beautiful fair city of Dublin. You could see people trying to get to work on the luas, meaning speed in Irish language (light rail tram system). The Wynn has an outstanding staff throughout the hotel from the front door, the reception desk(Ava), the breakfast room and the cleaners. It is located so central for the public transports, a walk through O'Connell street with many historical sites including the new sculpture Spire (new for me), you could walk to the both ends of the Liffey river with one end to The Point. You could cross the haypenny bridge very nearby to Temple Bar, the Brazen Head and stroll back in the wee hours. The doors are locked by 11pm but the hotel will let you in when you return. The breakfast has the continental option with many choices of cereals etc and the Irish breakfast are inclusive in the hotel room rates. Service here in the breakfast room is as good as the 4 or 5 star hotels I am used to (not trying to brag but to praise the young staff). The hotel room was clean, comfortable with a nice bed, curtains and a modern bathroom. The blinds helped kept the room dark and fit for a good night sleep. The other good points were the overall cleanliness was fantastic, spacious and the hotel staff were very helpful. Definitely would recommend Wynn hotel over others that I know like the Westbury, the Shelbourne and the Merrion.
16/08/2025: A perfectly maintained hotel with a Victorian feel, all that's missing are the horse-drawn carriages at the entrance! The room is clean with its stucco ceiling, but unfortunately it's very small, and the hallway is noisy due to a lack of soundproofing. The neighbor's door slams in the early morning, and the water pipes rattle. Too bad! The continental breakfast is satisfactory.
