Dubh is truly something special, every morning the staff & owners just seem genuinely so happy to see you, such a warm relaxing welcoming environment where, not only will they remember your usual order. But tempt you with the most tempting, mouthwatering pastries you’ll ever see. I feel this establishment is ahead of the game and is truly the beating heart of Newbridge.

One of the best places for tea and food. Tea is served in a classic cast iron pot. Definitely try anything with their homemade pesto, it's the best!

We went in for brunch this morning, family of 4 with 2 small kids. Ive been dying to try this place for quite some time, and the take away queue was out the door, a good sign.
We went in and there was one large table of 12 seated inside, but otherwise quite empty. We were sat down straight away. After a few minutes one of the staff asked us if we could move to another table for 4 right next to the one we were sat at, as that one was reserved. No problem, we were happy to do that. We were handed one menu and told there were not any more available (table of 12 had them all i asssume). Again, not a problem, we were happy to share. We waited 10-15 minutes for our order to be taken. A member of staff arrived and asked for drinks orders, but by then we were ready to order food. She told us she wasn't sure if she would be allowed to take a food order from us yet with the table of 12 coming in before us. We said we were only going to order 1 hot main and then coffee and pastries, but our son has quite a few food allergies so we enquired about any available items (understand this can be tricky but is usually not a problem at brunch places ie avocado toast, vegan pastries). At this point the kids were starting to kick off and honestly the staff member looked like she was going to start crying so we decided to leave.
I don't think we'll be back to sit in which is a shame as I really wanted to like the place.
The upside, Ive been dying to try some of the pastries so my son and I went to the take away part a while later, the lady that served us could not be more helpful with his allergies. We left with a cookie for him (very happy boy) and a cronut for me. Thank you again!

Since moving to Newbridge just shy of two years ago, Dubh has become my wife & I’s favourite place for a spot of lunch, a takeaway coffee or a pastry. The food is to die for, the service is excellent and the coffee is incredible!

This is a gorgeous little space with really lovely staff and fantastic food. We went mid week for brunch and had no issue getting a table in the main restaurant area. The decor is so rustic and simple but makes the space feel so warm. You can see the kitchen area from the restaurant which always adds to the atmosphere. There is a reasonable selection of food on the brunch menu with plenty of different options. We tried the pulled pork hash and the breakfast sandwich. Both were presented so well and tasted even better. The portion sizes are big and great value for money! The staff were so helpful with explaining dishes and baked goods. They were also very attentive and welcoming. There is more on the menu that I would love to try so I can’t wait to come back!
