Dublin Skylon Hotel in Dublin

Excellent for the airport and city center

Spent two lovely nights recently in the Dublin Skylon Hotel. The double room was spacious, well appointed, the respa mattress was very comfortable and great to get validated parking on site. This hotel has been transformed since I stayed many years ago. It’s no wonder the Dublin Skylon Hotel won Dublin City Hotel of the Year in 2024. It will be my go to hotel in future whilst staying in Dublin. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is that there is no leisure facilities. Thank you to all the staff for a very pleasant stay 🙌

Stayed here a few times now and had a mixed experience depending on the time of year. In the winter, I experienced a cold room with minimal heating. The location is ok for access but if you're a light sleeper, it's not great. The windows are dated and not sound proofed very well so if you're in any of the rooms facing the main road, it's noisy all night and morning. Inside the lobby, it's pleasant enough and the staff are generally very nice. The restaurant is good and serves some nice meals. There's also a Lidl next door if you want to pick up a snack or something for breakfast without having to opt for the hotel breakfast. The rooms, other than being cold in the winter, are ok. Some are better than others and it's a shame there's no standard. I would stay here again, as indeed I do, but that's only because the options nearby are very limited. To the Skylon management team, it could be a great place if some of the details were improved. At the moment, it's just satisfactory which is a shame as it has potential.

What a lovely hotel .The staff were so friendly. Very helpful. We had bar food and it was fabulous. The room was big very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and most definitely recommend the hotel .Brilliant hotel for the price we paid .

Highly recommend Dublin hotel. Bus access into downtown. Great staff. Comfortable beds. Clean and modern. Nice restaurants and coffee shops near by.

We had a brilliant time at the Skylon Hotel. Friendly, welcoming atmosphere and excellent hospitality throughout. Thanks to Tara and Shane and the team for looking after us so well.

It was an excellent experience from start to finish. The lady on reception was so welcoming and helpful. We had a drink in the bar and the quality of beverage was really good. The room was warm and cosy and the bathroom facilities were of a high standard. I would recommend this hotel and it's location was perfect for our stay.

Absolutely fantastic 👍 from start to finish. The breakfast is delicious and the bar has a lovely atmosphere. To get to the city center, bus 16, which stops on the sidewalk opposite the hotel, will take you there in 25 minutes. Thank you!
