Absolute gem in south Drogheda. Let me say this as a person who has reviewed burgers from all over the world: Duende has the BEST. First, the bun isn't just a toasted brioche, it's grilled. The two patties are just the right thickness and seasoned perfectly, placed around the generous amount of Irish cheddar. The lettuce, red onion, gherkin, and tomato are present but they are garnishes which add texture and enhance the flavour without taking over the burger. As a whole, the flavour combinations, texture, and build of this burger make it the best "classic" burger I've ever had. I've also had the fish and chips, but the burger is their all star. My wife had the buttermilk chicken burger which looked unreal...she said nothing comes close. Looking forward to coming back!!!

Excellent little Bar / Bistro in Southgate Shopping centre. Caters to modern Irish with a touch of old world / Italian influences. Very tasty and portions that leave you satisfied rather than stuffed. It is priced more on the restaurant side than a cafe with burgers around the €15 / €17 mark and steaks or lamb around the €28 / €32 price points - but again you won't be dissapointed in the added expense as the quality and flavours are top class. Some might say service is a little on the slow side but I would argue it is more relaxed than slow and gives you time to chat before serving.
