04/05/2026: The food is amazing. The rooms are nice, but small. The shower isn't great. The hotel itself is really nice with loads of interesting features and a really nice terrace for drinks and lunch.

25/06/2026: Beautiful pub. Unfortunately do not serve food, however, they permit you to eat takeaway and Mangan's renowned and highly recommended chipper is closeby! They also permitted our pet dogs, on leash, in outdoor area. Wonderful pub, great atmosphere and highly recommend 👍

17/09/2026: We’ve been eating from Bruno FMacari since the very beginning, and honestly, it’s one of our favourite places in the area. Their chicken, chicken nuggets,chicken kebabs, chicken trays, Southern Fried Chicken Burger, Margherita pizza, chicken pizza and, of course, their fish and chips are all absolutely amazing. Their fish and chips are genuinely the best in the area — we haven’t found anywhere that does them better. And I have to specially mention their garlic sauce! It is honestly the best garlic sauce we’ve ever had. It’s absolutely delicious! It’s a lovely family-run business, and the whole family are genuinely such kind, friendly and hardworking people. Every time we visit, the service is warm and welcoming, and you can really see how much effort they put into their business and their food. After all these years, the quality and taste have remained consistently excellent. We’re always happy with our food and never feel like our money has been wasted. A proper local favourite and highly recommended, especially for the fish and chips and that amazing garlic sauce! ❤️

28/06/2026: We stumbled upon this place completely by chance. It's AMAZING! Even in France, it had been a long time since we'd had such a pleasant surprise! The eggplant and shrimp curry were absolutely delicious. The impeccable service and the cleanliness of the restrooms (clean restrooms = clean kitchen, that's what I've always been taught!) further enhance the quality of this place. Don't hesitate for a second.

01/09/2026: Really kind of 3 pubs in one. The front bar is the classic old school pub look with plenty of old man locals; it wraps around to a second rustic bar room. Pass through to the lounge which also has a stand-up bar and handles weekend crowds. The lounge has bands that set-up in the corner, they do a Monday night with usually local bands playing rock classics which is fun and has no cover. The Patio which has a had a retractable roof is a great spot on a sunny day, don't expect much a crowd early in the week. Weekends they usually have a DJs playing to the patio crowd which leans very young as the night goes on. Sometimes they have special DJ events that might have a small cover. The patio also has a rolldown screen for bog matches. Also have a part of the patio they use for birthday parties etc. Great pints and bonus points for having Lagunitas IPA on draft for when you are weary of the Guinness. Staff is great. They don't serve food, but Biddo's has a food truck on the patio Thursday-Sunday evenings featuring birria style tacos/nachos etc. definitely worth trying. Note it can get crowded so plan accordingly. Without a doubt one of the best places in town.
