Antica Toscana in Drogheda

Excellent food and great atmosphere. Feels like we were in Italy for a couple of hours.

Unexpectedly good pizza. It also fits in very well, although the presentation is initially a bit rustic. The server mumbles like crazy and is hard to understand, but the food is really good.

Fodo was ok, hence why the three stars.I had the seafood risotto. But the manager was a real disappointment. He was so rude with the waiting staff, barking orders at them, especially at a young girl who was clearly training. And whoever Sofia is, I hope she gets a better job where she's not spoken to as if she's 3years old. We were waiting for a while for the bill, so we stood up and went to pay at the stand in front where they had a card machine, and the same manager guy was looking at us as if we committed the worst sin, or trying to dine&dash, which obviously wasn't the case. Really disappointed with the whole experience.

Decided to pop in for dinner based on Google reviews. Absolutely fabulous food. Highly recommend for the food and the service!

We just ate here; the entrance is a bit hidden in the street next to a women's clothing store. You have to go up a flight of stairs and then you arrive above the shop in a beautiful, spacious establishment. Fortunately, the menu is Italian and not yet influenced by Irish cuisine. We have been traveling around Ireland for almost three full weeks now and have searched everywhere for a good Italian restaurant, but only now have we truly succeeded. There was a pizzana politana on the menu, just as it should be. Olives, capers, and anchovies; it was well made. My wife had a seafood risotto, also well made. A homemade dessert and a limoncello to finish. We were satisfied and can certainly recommend the place.

It was a bit expensive, but the pizza was really good. Worth a try.
