ELY WINE STORE in Maynooth

Ordered fish today and was not informed about the shrimp included which I am allergic to. But was replaced without any questions. Needed to ask for menu as was not brought to table. Asked 3 times for my glass of wine. No napkins offered when resetting. Cold draught coming upstairs also. Pity as I never had bad experience before in Ely. But food was very nice.

This is hands down the best coffee shop and wine bar in Maynooth (and surroundings). As an Italian, I find the quality of coffee, pastries, and food extremely high. You can tell that food is freshly prepared, and that they have a nice selection of coffee and tea. Also, this is one of the few businesses in Maynooth offering vegan drink and food alternatives (their vegan pain au chocolat is a must-try). Last, but definitely not least, staff is well-trained, polite, and a pleasure to chat with! Would highly recommend.

Have only been here for coffee and pastries but have never been disappointed with my orders. Definitely plan to pop in to the restaurant sometime soon!

Bullet points- Good atmosphere, good service, fair portion and very tasty, reasonable prices I just hate places that include a mandatory tip in the bill and we had to correct them on 2 mistakes on the bill so... We were with a party at €65 per head (non inclusive of drinks) but it worked out at €9 extra per person for the tip which wasn't communicated during the booking

got a chicken blaa and almond croissant plus coffee and hot chocolate for myself and my daughter. very nice place,chilled atmosphere, friendly staff, food and drinks were served quickly and quality was excellent. price reasonable. will be back!
