Just returned home from a wonderful stay at Faithlegg. I needed to be close to Cheekpoint so this location was ideal for me but some others may find it a little out of the way , particularly for Waterford City. Beautiful setting , great staff and fantastic service. Breakfast was superb. It was an expensive couple of nights stay and worth the money and experience but not something I could justify if travelling regularly. Unfortunately , I may have to look for alternative and cheaper options but, one day , I will return.

During our recent stay at the hotel, we were thoroughly impressed by the exceptional service and warm hospitality we received from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine warmth by the reception team and assisted to our room by the helpful concierge. Our visit to the treatment suites was equally delightful — both therapists were friendly, professional, and made our experience relaxing and enjoyable. A special mention goes to Pierce, our server, who truly made our stay memorable. From breakfast to dinner, he went above and beyond to provide attentive, personalized service, even taking care to accommodate my partner’s coeliac dietary requirements. His professionalism and genuine care are a credit to the hotel and greatly enhanced our experience. Thank you to the entire team for a wonderful and memorable stay - we look forward to returning soon!

Excellent service, we're met at the car!

Absolutely incredible place. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Food is amazing and portions are plentiful. Views are spectacular and the golf course (yet to play) looks beautiful. First time stay but will 100% return. Treated ourselves to a hot stone massage.

*Accessibility review* Visited Faithlegg with my mother, my brother and my partner. My Mother is mostly wheelchair bound with very limited mobility and was assured before our visit that the hotel is wheelchair accessible - we booked an accessible room for her. There are 2 steps into the hotel, and a ramp needs to be placed down every time my Mother had to enter or exit the hotel. The hotel is an old building so I understand why a permanent ramp can’t be placed. Entering the hotel with the ramp was no problem. We had quite significant issues exiting. Firstly, unless someone is stood at the bottom of the ramp, the ramp would slip off the lip of the steps and fall onto the next step. Secondly, My mother’s wheelchair would become stuck because of the angle of the ramp and she wouldn’t be able to move any further. Myself and my brother ended up having to lift my Mams wheelchair over the lip of the ramp and get her to accelerate past the steepest point of the ramp to make sure she could get down the ramp. Over the few days we stayed, we had various suggestions from staff ranging from encouraging my Mother to go down the ramp backwards (which didn’t work, and is entirely inappropriate), to when questioned if there’s an alternative route or solution, being told ‘we just have to make sure there’s plenty of hands around’ (to carry my Mam down the stairs/make sure she doesn’t fall when we have to lift her. This I believe was suggested by a male duty manager over the phone when I spoke to someone at front of house, they never came to speak to us in person). Some other accessibility issues we noticed was that the toilet in the accessible room was extremely low down, and the bed was extremely high up. Although perhaps this could suit some people’s accessibility needs, they were not ideal for my Mams. There are also only 3 disabled car parking spots outside the hotel which are often full. Aside from this, the food every evening was absolutely amazing and the staff we encountered could not have been more helpful, particularly in the restaurant. Without the accessibility issues, this definitely would have been a 5 star review. I think to advertise as an accessible hotel, and have a valued guest have to be lifted out of your hotel by their family members is not good enough. I spoke to a porter who told me the ramp the hotel has is 25 years old. I’m also not sure what the POA is in terms of if there’s an emergency (such as a fire) for wheelchair bound guests as I believe there is no other route out (for wheelchair bound guests) other than the current not fit-for-purpose ramp down the steps, but my Mother was in a room which needed a lift to be accessed. The duty manager we spoke to was very kind and listened to our concerns, however I did want to review so other people or families who may have someone in a wheelchair can have this information available.
