We stayed here recently and it was unreal place to stay. Would highly recommend to anyone to stay even if it is not for the golf. The service and food in the restaurant and bar was sensational.

Historical house and location. The house is built on a large 7,000 acre estate that was granted to a Bristol merchant named Aylward by Henry II following the Norman invasion of Ireland in the 1170s. After the Cromwellian Seige in 1649, the estate was confiscated and granted to a Cromwellian soldier, Captain William Bolton. He started construction on what is now the present day Georgian Mansion. In 1819, due to financial pressures, the estate was sold to Nicholas and Margaret Mahon Power. The Powers, who were the first Catholic landlords of the area since the Norman era. In 1935, the Power family sold Faithlegg House to the De La Salle Order of teaching brothers. In 1998, the property was acquired by the FBD Property and Leisure Group. They meticulously restored the historic manor and expanded the grounds into a premier 4-star hotel and golf resort.
That's quite some history and quite an unjust and bloody one at times. Some say the place is haunted.
The venue is well laid out for functions, particularly weddings and such. It incorporates a large marquee and open spaces ideal for photographs and bigger groups.
I attended a drinks reception and didnt unfortunately get a chance to see the rooms so I haven't rated them. Service was good and the atmosphere was friendly.

Dinner and breakfast were lovely, excellent service from the Italian gentleman. Gym and saunas were available, pool and jacuzzi weren't but that's alright. Overall a great experience.

Many of the hotels in Waterford were booked due to the amount of weddings at this time of year. We did a little bit of research and found Faithlegg and have been utterly smitten with the place. Great food and very thoughtful food menu by chef Jenny Flynn, great service kind people. Daina at reception was so kind and accommodating. Lovely amenities. Would return in a minute. :)

Lovely 2 night stay DBB. Beautiful room in main house with a view of the grounds. Dinner & breakfast were delicious. Staff very helpful & friendly especially in the dining room. Disappointed that thermal suite / jacuzzi was not available due to renovation. Really enjoyed our stay, would recommend without hesitation.

We stayed one night after visiting Waterford. Faithlegg is a very classy hotel. While we did not eat there, we had great service at the bar and a very good breakfast the following day. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

We had our wedding here and it was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The entire experience exceeded our expectations.
The venue itself is stunning — the grounds are beautifully maintained and provided the perfect backdrop for our day. Everything felt so elegant and picturesque, and it really added to the overall atmosphere.
The food was exceptional, and so many of our guests commented on the quality and presentation. It’s clear that the team take great pride in what they do.
The accommodation was also fantastic, with guests raving about how comfortable and well-kept everything was. It made the whole experience even more enjoyable for everyone who stayed.
The staff were professional, attentive, and so helpful throughout the entire process. A special shoutout to our wedding coordinator, Ella — she was absolutely amazing and made the whole planning process so smooth and stress-free. Everything on the day ran seamlessly thanks to her and the team’s hard work.
We couldn’t recommend Faithlegg highly enough — it truly was the perfect setting for our wedding day.

We just had dinner, no starters left room for dessert but then nothing on dessert menu really stood out.
Was disappointed with lamb option so no recommendations from me
