12/06/2025: The main asset of this hotel is its location. Otherwise, the best word to describe it is dated. We booked several months in advance for two stays: upon arrival in Ireland and upon departure. In both cases, the amenities were not at all up to 4-star standards. The first time, the bathroom was dated (two faucets at the sink and no mixer), the shower was impossible to attach, so you had to hold it with one hand, and the towel had a hole in it. The second time, the room was small, under the eaves, and the bathroom was tiny. Positive: the staff was very friendly.
Disliked: For the first stay, there were two faucets at the sink (we lost the habit of using that kind of equipment a long time ago!). The shower head was too big for its bracket. Anyway, the bracket was attached above its sliding bar???! For the second, the small attic room was very hot, the doorless wardrobe had no shelves (so the clothes stayed in the suitcase). A window was held up with a piece of wood. As for the miniature bathroom, to put your things: half was available on the only shelf in place. The shower drain was broken.
11/06/2025: This hotel offers an excellent location, within easy walking distance of everything. It's a cozy, old house with interesting decor that exudes a romantic Irish charm.
Although the hotel is a bit noisy, my room was very quiet. Thick carpets help to dampen the sound, although there are some creaking spots. The bed was great, and I slept wonderfully.
I especially recommend the Irish breakfast. The continental breakfast in the other room, on the other hand, was less impressive.
