This was our first time in Dublin.
Highly recommended.
What we experienced on October 18, 2025, at the Fire Steakhouse restaurant fulfilled all our expectations. From the moment we arrived to the end. From the service to the food. Simply top-notch!
We've rarely experienced anything like this in our lives (67 & 69). Anyone who wants to experience/offer something special, either for themselves or with good friends, must book there.
The only drawback on our part is that we speak very little English. And yet, everything worked out to our complete satisfaction.
It was a very positive experience for us and will remain in our memories.
Thank you and see you again

Nestled in the historic Mansion House on Dawson Street, FIRE Steakhouse & Bar is more than just a restaurant—it’s an event. Stepping into the main dining room, originally built in 1864 as the Lord Mayor’s ‘Supper Room,’ is instantly impressive. The space is absolutely enormous, featuring breathtaking vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows, and a grandeur that few Dublin venues can match. This is the definition of a spectacular setting, making it perfect for special occasions, corporate events, or a truly memorable night out.
The Ambiance: A Historic 'Wow' Factor
The physical setting alone justifies a visit. The recent, multi-million euro refurbishment ensures the historic space feels fresh, luxurious, and welcoming, rather than stuffy. Whether you are seated in the main hall or on the gorgeous, heated outdoor terrace overlooking the Lord Mayor’s Garden, the atmosphere is distinctly upscale and buzzing. It strikes a sophisticated balance, managing to feel both incredibly grand and yet comfortably casual.
The Menu: Irish Produce, Expertly Prepared
As expected from one of Dublin’s top steakhouses, the focus is squarely on high-quality, sustainable Irish produce, particularly their award-winning beef.
For starters, we opted for the signature Wood-Fired Tiger Prawns with chorizo and crayfish stuffing, which were beautifully cooked and burst with flavour. The Ardsallagh Goats Cheese starter, served with pickled beets and candied pecans, also came highly recommended and proved to be a delightful balance of sweet, earthy, and creamy textures.
The main event, of course, is the steak. We chose the Irish Hereford Prime Fillet (6oz) and the Rib-Eye (10oz). Both were aged and cooked to perfection, showcasing the quality of the beef with simple seasoning. The sides—creamed potato and the signature Pont Neuf chips—were excellent accompaniments, though it's worth noting all sides come à la carte, adding to the total cost.
While the steak is the star, the menu is surprisingly extensive, offering delicious seafood options like Seared Irish Salmon and a robust range of vegetarian dishes, such as Spinach & Ricotta Tortellini, ensuring everyone is catered for.
Service and Value
The service at FIRE is professional, friendly, and attentive. Our server was knowledgeable about the provenance of the dishes and offered insightful wine pairings from their extensive list. This level of polished, yet warm, service elevates the entire dining experience.
The one area for consideration is the price point. Dining at FIRE is certainly an indulgence. The à la carte pricing is premium, with steaks starting around €40-€50 and sides charged separately. However, they offer well-regarded set menus, including an Early Bird option (often around two courses for €42) and a Weekend Lunch menu, which provide a significantly better entry point to experience the atmosphere and food quality without the full à la carte spend.
Verdict
FIRE Steakhouse & Bar delivers a true luxury dining experience in Dublin. You pay for the incredible location, the impeccable service, and the highest quality Irish ingredients. While it won't be a casual weekly spot for most, it is the perfect destination for celebrating a milestone or hosting guests. If you're looking for one of the best steaks in Dublin served in the city’s most historical and impressive dining room, FIRE should be at the top of your list.

Lovely setting and atmosphere. Steak perfectly cooked, however chips were over cook, we told the waitress when she asked how the meal was and she said she would pass the feedback on. For 60euro for a main I feel some veg/salad should be included, and chips shouldn't be over done. Service wasn't great, had to try get numerous waiters attention to order another drink. The table was also wobbly that a waiter tried to fix and we ended up having to resolve ourselves. Enjoyed the evening however for the price and service on the night wouldn't return
