Firehouse Bakery in Wicklow

Only in Wicklow can you get a new tube in double buggy fitted quicker than it takes to heat your mice pie, all under the same roof.🚲 super service.

I used to go here fairly often a few years ago and the food is consistently good. Popped in today for the first time in two years and I was just blown away by how lovely the staff were! The lads looking after us were so friendly, and even though they were closing soon after we ordered they didn’t rush us, and took time to chat to us and have a bit of craic (and give our very nervous dog attention). Lovely to have such friendly staff who go out of their way to make you feel looked after!

Every time I come here, I walk away feeling better.... and usually full! The firehouse epitomizes professionalism, great food and service. I'm not much of a "foodie" (I just enjoy eating!) but I always come here excited to try the next dish. The staff couldn't be more friendly and obliging and they seem to really care about customer excellence while they also seem to be able to be themselves. The Firehouse is a real integral part of Wicklow town and it's community, a place of many beautiful and happy memories shared with my Dad and my Mother when they come down from Dublin.

This is probably Wicklow’s hidden gem! I’ve tried avocado toast in many places, but the one here truly stands out. The flavors and the presentation… It’s an absolute explosion of taste in your mouth! Simply incredible. From the outside, it doesn’t look fancy at all; in fact, when we visited Wicklow 3–4 months ago, we got a bit confused because of the bike shop next door and walked right past it. Now it’s a place we look forward to visiting every time we’re in town! Be sure to try their pizzas as well, and don’t miss the yummy pastries! (I also love that it’s so welcoming to dogs.)

This us a little gem in Wicklow Town. It used to be Delahunts for 65 years previously. An end of a generational era in Wicklow. Now it's The Firehouse and it's kept true to the excellent service (from DIY to Bakery/restaurant) the food is amazing tasty and very popular. The Bakery is part of the restaurant and they do a variety of sourdough breads that are gorgeous. Be warned the early bird gets the bread. They can sell out before midday. But I highly recommend giving them a try. I've only given 4 stars fir atmosphere as there is a bicycle shop inside the restaurant with nothing blocking all the bikes in view which is less than ideal makes it a strange I find. Otherwise I would highly recommend the Firehouse restaurant and especially the bakery. Enjoy

Fabulous bakery with a huge selection of yummy pastries. The croissants are divine. Coffe serviced in gorgeous pottery . Staff very helpful
