Fitzgerald's in Dublin

Very nice pub, reasonable prices and a good atmosphere. The music isn't too loud, which allows for conversation with friends. Very well located.

It’s actually called Bill Aherne’s. Beautiful bar!! And a quiet atmosphere. Just around the corner from the chaos. Bartender was charming and they serve changing times beer

It is no longer called Fitzgerald’s. They no longer serve food, so no restaurant/ food service. You can still sit at the tables in the old restaurant section but it’s now quiet/desolate back there. Still good as a pub. It is in transition from Fitzgeralds to Billahernes, I think this is the new name is, or what my payment posted as. . Expect now to pay what you would at the surrounding pubs, the Fitzgerald’s pricing edge is no more. The barkeep was friendly and attentive.

The croissants and pain au chocolats here were amongst the best we had in Centre during our 2-week trip. It can be argued that the French croissant really owes credit to Austria (the kipferl). I’ll have you know you can learn the truth here by enjoying one with a fine espresso and chatting with the owner that knows a thing or two about the ancestry of the croissant. Truth.

A cracking pint of Murphy’s to be had here at a reasonable price given the area. Really friendly guy on the bar who gave us some really good local info. Definitely worth a try.

Oh dear God, food was terrible, service was equally as bad. The entire pub could do with a Deep clean and and entire staff change.

Highly recommended, quiet, good food, and a good price. We went for two days and were not disappointed.
