Had restaurant booked for birthday dinner for group of 6. Was worried after reading previous review. All I can say is we were blown away. Live in Midlands and eat out frequently, including Dublin. Flannerys is without a doubt at the very top when it came to food and service. Definitely missing out if you don't pay a visit. Friends and I already organising our next visit. Thanks Flannerys for a fantastic experience.
Flannery`s has gone down on sereral levels. Service, menu. Visited here for early evening -staff all over the place. Menu not as good / extensive as in the past. Barstaff doubled up as food servers. One member of the barstaff spent his time dropping cutlery on the floor( which was put straight back into cutlery drawer off the floor without washing), clattering and banging ice bucket & bottles behind bar. Not exactly condusive to a relaxing meal. Got the impression the staff were not happy bunnies! Has to repeadly ask for condiments- though locals were offered a detailed run through of the menu, offered every condiment available & spent lots of time chatting to them We just felt abandoned & having to get a servers attention was almost impossible. Running around like headless chickens. As we left the restaurant was quite empty for a Friday evening. Not a good sign. Flannery`s used to always be the place "to go to" but with our experience and hearing from others sadly we will give it a miss. I doubt the management will even take any notice of this review.
