Flipside in Sligo

The whole family loves this place. Great food and drinks. Service is great too. Come early, it's always packed!

Great selection of burgers and sides, very friendly staff, food was great

Absolutely stunning place. Probably the best restaurant I've ever been to. As soon as you walk in, the person who I can only assume is the manager, or at least the senior staff member greets you with the most pleasantly outgoing greeting you will receive anywhere. His demeanor is very professional, but still casual and friendly enough as if it's one of your old mates serving you. As for the food, it left me speechless the first time I went, and it drove me there another fifty times or so - not exaggerating. The chips are what stand out to me. Sure, they might be a little pricey for some but oh my god you get what you pay for. The portion sizes are massive when compared to other places, and they don't hold back on toppings for the loaded fries either. The burgers are always well made, and well presented. My favourite part about the meals here are the soft drinks, however. Unlike a lot of lame restaurants nowadays who give you tiny wee bottles of coke or whatever you order, Flipside still gives you the full bottles, which is sadly a rarity in most places. If the main course hasn't satisfied you enough, get an ice-cream sundae and you will be sorted. Some of the nicest ice-cream I've ever tasted in them. And once again, the toppings are plentiful. The milkshakes are also well worth writing home about! Anytime I bring friends or family to Sligo for the first time, Flipside is always my first thought when it comes to bringing them out for a meal. Additionally, while it's mainly walk-ins, you can make bookings for 6 to 12 people (as of January 2025), which is really nice for planning birthday parties. Unless they get rid of those gorgeous chicken tenders with hot sauce off the menu, nothing will ever deter me from going here. Note that if you happen to be seated outside, there are blankets for those cold nights, too!

Food was great here, had one of the chicken burgers and it was delicious. Salted Rosemary fries were crisp and hot. Will be back here to make my way through the menu. Table service was great although we did have to wait for 25 minutes for a table it was well worth it.

Lovely burgers. The only downside was the price. For example a milkshake (which was beautiful) was €6.50, at least €2 more than it should have been!

Beautiful place for food. When we arrived the place was packed with customers queuing up to get a seat. The host took my name and asked if we could come back in half an hour. Arrived back host remembered us and seated us. The atmosphere was buzzing The food was absolutely fabulous. The host took time to sit with us and I would recommend this establishment 100%. Defo worth a visit if you are in Sligo.

Thanks so much to the whole team for looking after myself and a group of lads down from Belfast for a Stag Party. They had a laugh about us being dressed for the occasion and made us feel very welcome. Paddy and the servers looked after us brilliantly and the chefs made sure the food was more than memorable. The burgers were amazing, the loaded fries were insane and the (free) wings were a great touch. Hope to see you all again!

Food is lovely, staff are so pleasant just the music is like going into a bad bar. It is so overwhelmingly loud ,don't go here if you want to talk to anyone , the music is actually unbearable loud bang bang stuff , I took my kids and my little one actually begged me to leave as they felt the music was too loud ,I had to take them out
