Since moving to Maynooth, I have been passing Friel's thinking I would like to go in for a drink and a meal one day with the family. Fast forward some years later, and I wonder why we haven't gone sooner. The food is fantastic and great value, very friendly service and an atmosphere a family can enjoy. Great place to go.

One of my favourite pubs around. They have many dishes to choose from on their menu and their prices are reasonable. They have not been increased like other restaurants. The owner is very helpful.

Was here for my Sons birthday party. He and his guests were well looked after as we're my wife and I. Staff were great. Good food and great bar. Definitely recommend

Food not great. Reheated chips over done battered cod and service was ok. Wasn't packed yet no one coming over to get your reorder!! Guinness was beautiful though

Rugged Lane Restaurant

27/09/2024: If you want scenery, sun sets, class, friendy staff, beautiful food, ambience, comfort, style, and everything in between then this place is a must. Suitable for couples, friends, or small gatherings having said that we had two children with us and as there is no kids menu they did however offer us kids favourites that's not on the menu and they loved it. A perfect place to dine for special occasions. I was offered a complimentary prosecco (birthday) and desert with happy birthday candle and decoration. A lovely experience overall.
07/07/2024: Exceptional ….. an experience ….. from the welcome on arrival …. Staff food and atmosphere best we’ve experienced in a very long time …… highly recommend RUGGED LANE we will be back!
