Jacks Coastguard Restaurant in

My husband and I ate at this wonderful establishment a month ago during our visit in SW Ireland. We changed our itinerary late in the day after a long trip on the Ring and they were accommodating with a fabulous table in the back corner with a gorgeous view. I had the crab claw appetizer and the halibut entree. My husband had the mussels and salmon. They were both cooked and seasoned to perfection while the portions generous. The additional potatoes and veggies provided were also perfectly cooked (never knew a potato could be so perfect with a salty crunch on the exterior and a melt in your mouth center). The wine menu had plenty of international options to compliment our delicious meals. The environment was warm, enviting and comfortable with a beautiful view of their manicured grounds and coastline. The service was friendly and professional as well as timely. We enjoyed it so much that we ate there the following night and had the same enjoyable experience. Both meals were the best we had in the Killarney area for the week. I highly recommend this restaurant!!!

A truly wonderful place for a special occasion. You pay more but boy is it worth it. Fabulous food and wine, fully attentive staff.The owner is hands on,which is a lovely touch. Highly recommend..go enjoy
