There are restaurants you visit because you are hungry, restaurants you visit because someone else suggests them, and then there is Fujiyama in Newbridge — a place that, quite frankly, has ruined other restaurants for me forever. I walked into Fujiyama expecting food. I left questioning every meal I had eaten before that moment. Was my entire life leading up to this restaurant merely preparation? Was every disappointing bowl of noodles, every mediocre sushi roll, every overpriced takeaway I had consumed simply a dark chapter before discovering enlightenment? I don’t know. What I do know is that Fujiyama is ridiculously good, ridiculously cheap, and frankly a little bit offensive to every restaurant charging twice as much for food that isn’t half as enjoyable. Let’s start with the price, because this is where Fujiyama becomes genuinely dangerous. You go into a restaurant like this expecting to leave with your bank account significantly lighter. Instead, you can get an absolutely enormous amount of food for a price that makes you wonder whether they’ve accidentally forgotten to charge you for half of it. In an era where getting a meal out can feel like applying for a mortgage, Fujiyama manages to provide genuinely delicious food without making you check your banking app afterwards and quietly whisper, “I’m going to be eating toast for the next three weeks.” The value is incredible. And then there is the food itself. The sushi is absolutely phenomenal. There is something about sushi at Fujiyama that makes you immediately want more, regardless of how much you have already eaten. You tell yourself, “I’ll just have one more.” Then you have another. Then another. Suddenly you’re sitting there surrounded by empty plates wondering where your self-control went. The freshness, the flavour, the texture — everything just works. Each piece feels like someone actually cared about making it rather than simply throwing ingredients together and hoping for the best. The combination of rice, fish and other ingredients creates something that is somehow both incredibly satisfying and completely addictive. I genuinely love the sushi so much that if my family were standing on one side of a room and Fujiyama sushi were standing on the other, I would have to think very carefully about which direction I was walking. And I’m not even joking about the noodles. The noodles might be the thing that truly pushed me over the edge. There is something incredibly comforting about a massive serving of beautifully cooked noodles. They are filling without being boring, flavourful without being overwhelming, and somehow manage to make you feel like everything in your life is going to be okay. You could have the worst day imaginable, walk into Fujiyama, order noodles and suddenly the problems of the world become significantly less important. Job stressing you out? Noodles. Relationship problems? Noodles. Financial difficulties? Well, thankfully Fujiyama is cheap, so you’re probably fine. Existential crisis? More noodles. 10/10. 11/10 for the noodles. 12/10 for the sushi.

Domino's Pizza - Newbridge

07/06/2026: I went there the food was great but they kept screaming for no reason ,not yelling at eachother, no words just screaming. What is their problem.
30/03/2026: It’s good food but only if you’re in the mood it’s very filling I enjoy the sizzler and chicken kickers and the garlic sauce cookies etc but the dough and crust can be improved it’s more notible in the cheese pizza which is good but not that great either
