Fantastic local pub run by an experienced publican Simon.Great food , good beers and number one service. An amazing pub for the local community.

Stayed there a couple of times so far. its off the beaten track, we found it because we wanted somewhere central to stay with old friends who are dotted around the country. Food great, rooms great, bar gas a wide choice

Lovely pub and location. We sat outside and ate lunch. They had one vegan starter and no vegan mains on the menu. I asked the waiter and he said he could do the starter with a salad. My main was less than half the size of everyone else’s, but I was charged for a full main. It tasted nice, but I was left feeling hungry and ripped off.

We have lunch here quite often, most often there are 4 of us. We have never had to complain about anything. The food is great quality and portions are huge! The staff are friendly and the place is clean with a great atmosphere. We all love it.

We had a very pleasant stay. Great food, great rooms, great ice cream ;) It’s particularly nice with kids, there is a playground to the back and a safe garden space to the front.

The location was very quiet, the room was also very nice, and there was an ironing board and iron in the wardrobe. The food was also very good, and all the staff were very friendly.

We'd been to Donnington Castle and were looking for somewhere nice to eat. This place had excellent reviews (apart from one, but he was wrong) and was dog friendly so we drove out. It's in the middle of nowhere, which adds to its charm. It's a lovely old building with generous gardens surrounding it. We were warmly greeted on our arrival by the friendly barman, who gave our two Samoyeds a bowl of water. We sat in the bar area with our dogs, the ale was well kept, the food was lovely. I had fish and chips and my partner had the steak and ale pie. We only live 30 mins away, which is great as we want to go back, I want that pie. The rooms do look very nice though. Plenty of parking, huge dining area (not for dogs but plenty of dog-friendly seating areas) and a generally lovely find. Had a very friendly vibe.

This pub is B E A Utiful! Staff are great! Car park was packed and the food came out really quickly. A solid ploughman’s (a little stingy with the cheese) and some of the best pub chips ive had in a long while.
