Galileo in Edenderry

Food was lovely as always. Excellent service, you g man who waited our table was really nice to our kids. Always a pleasure 👌

This is probably the classiest restaurant in Edenderry. The antipasto starter is amazing if you like cheeses, olives and various cold meats. It is loads for two, but enough for three. The minestrone soup was just as I like it, with lots of vegetable chunks. The steak Tagliata @ €32.50 is special. Incredibly tender and served on a bed of roquette with either garlic potatoes, chips or mash. The fettuccine alla Boscaiol was a bit bland, so I won't choose it again. The house wine is very good as is the Irish coffee. Staff are always very pleasant, and attentive without being intrusive. So next time we want a special evening locally, we will be back. Total for 3 starters, 4 mains, 1 dessert, 2 Irish coffees, 2 glasses of house white, I bottle of house red, 1 Fanta and 1 coffee =€205.20

Were there 08/04/24 The food wasn't bad, a very strange pepperoni sausage, more like a regular Lidl sausage. At first everything started out not bad. The waiter forgot a little about us, but that’s okay, it happens. There was even Italian music, but for some reason only one song, then Anglo-Irish pop started playing again. And it breaks the whole atmosphere. This logic is impossible to understand, unfortunately

Galileos is a lovely restaurant, food is amazing, there was 5 of us and all got 3 courses and every dish was gorgeous, no complaints from anyone. Kids loved it. Staff are very helpful and courteous. Only gripe and its a small one is the kids dessert menu is poor, a kids chocolate brownie would be great as my kids wanted something from the adults menu, but that's just a small thing, it really was so tasty and very well presented

Staff friendly and nice. We had to ask for breadsticks or nibbles for the kids as they were pretty hungry and we had a bit of a wait as they were busy. Server agreed then didn't bring anything or bring kids food first. The food was fantastic, cocktails were beautiful. Main dining area quite open, we were seated between the bar and toilets so everyone had to pass us. In general it's a great place to eat.

Amazing new York style pizza had here. Unfortunately it didn't survive long enough to snap a photo but absolutely amazing service, friendly staff and great atmosphere. Will be back!

Absolutely gorgeous meal food was amazing and the staff are so good and so friendly there was a lovely young barman behind the bar who was so friendly and so good at making cocktails. 10 out of 10 for everything.
