Gallery in Cork

What an absolute gem! Delicious food , attentive staff and a wonderful deco.

We celebrated a reunion, at The Gallery: 40 people at least. We had a 3 course dinner, a choice of 4 options for each course. Service was prompt, pleasant & efficient. The quality quantity and presentation of the food was very pleasing and great value for money. Slightly less pleasing, though minor, was the remoteness of the toilet facilities and the high decibel level , something outside the control of the Restauranteurs. I’d have no reservation to recommend a first or a return visit to The Gallery. Those at my table expressed similar positive opinions.

Cafe in the art gallery which is great for a snack after the main event. The cafe is a bit noisy like many these days, but service is prompt and friendly.

I always visit the gallery when I'm in Cork 👍

It used to be my workplace when I lived there. The food was always varied. The Irish like to go out for breakfast at the weekend with their children and all. We mainly had a good lunchtime business on weekdays. In the afternoon a few guests came for coffee and cake. The all-round menu included a soup/main course/dessert and filter coffee to your heart's content. The only people who were upset about the coffee were the French, they always had to argue and wanted better coffee (espresso), as that would also be common in France. What hasn't changed is the impossible, uncomfortable seating. Is more comfortable in other cafes and restaurants. The service was already very chaotic back then, but that was due to the manager, who trained everyone to be quick so that as many guests as possible could be processed. Since they still exist, not much will have changed.

The Cafe is on the ground floor of the gallery. Wait to be seated and the staff will be happy to great and seat you. I missed the sign and walked in unintentionally. The food was great the staff very attentive informative and helpful. I would add more clear signage as not to just walk in. Also a bigger tip jar as the food was great. Prices are average for the City Centre which is expensive as everything is gone very expensive.
